Emma looked down embarrassed. "Sorry." She mumbled. "You told me your story so I guess it's only fair." Regina said looking up at Emma. She took a deep breath. "Well, I had a pretty good child hood, except for my mother. She always looked at me as if I was a disappointment to her, especially when I rode the horses. No matter how well I placed at shows I wasn't good enough. When ever I placed second or third she called me an embarrassment to the family. I was a quiet friendly girl for the most part, but no one would talk to me after second grade when they realized my mom was the mayor. When I was 10 I was playing outside as my dad watched me play from inside the car stopped at the stop sign across the street. He got distracted from watching me that he was unaware of the speeding car that came barreling towards him. I heard a loud noise and I stopped playing and saw the cars. Instantly noticing that one was my dads. He was rushed to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Unfortunately, he had too much internal bleeding and on my first day of school he died. The last thing he said to me was "you were the only reason why I stayed with your mother. You mean the world to me. I love you baby girl." And he died holding my hand. Every night for five years I cried myself to sleep. Shortly after his death, people started treating me differently. They started staring at me and whispering about me. It made me angry and upset, so I began hurting others out of my pain. My mother treated me horribly. She would beat me until I could barely breathe from crying so much, but I still desired to be better than I was to try and make her happy. My first year of high school I realized it was impossible to make her happy, and I decided doing what I wanted. I quickly became the most popular girl in school, but also the school bully. Sophomore year, Ruby came to town. I was saying some very hurtful words to Belle, but Ruby came up and save her from my wrath. They instantly saw me as their enemy and soon had the whole school calling me the evil queen. I had a few friends that always stuck by me, my cheer squad. When you bumped into me on your first day of school, I saw something familiar in your eyes. I saw pain and the loss of hope for the future, something I totally understood. I felt sympathetic and wanted to become your friend, but something held me back, and now here we are." Regina said. "I guess we have more in common than we thought." Emma said with a smile. "I guess so..."Regina said looking at the floor. "So how about you teach me how to ride before it gets too dark." Emma said changing the subject. Regina smiled. "Okay!" Regina said walking to her huge walk in closet.
