Grayson had grown up and begun his first year of college. He tried to ignore the clocks but they would always be there. He learned that his grandfather turned to alcohol and drugs before he committed suicide. He swore to be stronger than him, he swore he would live through it.
There was a first football game of the season on campus. Some older student brought coolers of beers. One freshman was very interested in getting drunk for the first time and with every can he emptied and crushed with his hand his clock jumped down and down and down.
The second the boy climbed into the drivers seat of his car jumped down to two minuted and forty six seconds.
"Hey Mark, you want a ride back to your dorm?" The drunk boy slurred. Mark happened to be Grayson's best friend .
"Um sure>" Mark replied approching the door. Two other people jumped into the car. Both their clocks jumped down to two minutes and thirteen seconds. Before he knew what was happening Grayson yelled out.
"Hey Mark I can give you a ride if you want. Our dorms our closer." Mark nodded and started towards Grayson. Grayson decided it was an exception just one little exception.
Only minuted later the drunk boy's car crashed into another car, there were no survivors.
