Chapter 6

Ezra's POV:

"Erza, where have you been?" Lucy asked excitedly.

"Went party with some friends." I said, my voice was bitter.

"Really!?" Lucy gasped, "Oh Erza, you should have take me with you!"

"Sorry." I sighed, running upstairs to the dorm room.

"It's okay Erza! I'm your friend!" Lucy called.

She doesn't understand! I wish I could tell her about it, but I can't, I need to keep it to myself.

I flung myself to the bed, trying hard to keep the tears back in to my eyes.

"Erza! Erza!" Lucy's voice sounded from outside the door.

I groaned, I just need an hour of peace, so I just put my head under the pillow and pretend that I heard nothing.

"Erza! You need to open the door!" Lucy kept on banging on the door, "Erza!"

"What!"

And then Lucy stopped.

This is the first time in my life I have ever sounded so annoyed to my friend.

"What's wrong? Erza?" Lucy asked quietly.

"I'm sorry, Lucy, it's just that, too many things' going on! I, I don't even know what I'm going to do right now." I opened the door for her, she looked a bit depressed.

Lucy looked at me, "Erza, it's pouring outside, and you just let Jellal stand there 'till he's dead?"

"What? Jellal's what?" I jumped.

"Oh gosh, he's been waiting for you outside for at least three hours! I opened the door for him but he said he will only come in if you open the door for him."Lucy said.

But, I thought it's only one minute ago, it's been three hours? I must had been spacing out!

"Go get him! He can't stand in the rain forever!" Lucy yelled.

Without even thinking, I rushed down the floor and opened the door, Jellal was leaning on the wall, his whole body was soaked with rain water.

"What do you think you're doing? You fool!" I ran into the rain without thinking, took off my jacket and wrapped it around his shoulder, and dragged him in.

"Ha, I knew you would come!" He smiled bitterly.

"You are a stupid! Stupid! Stu......." And then I broke into a sob, leaning on his chest, his coldness gripped me, and I just cry.

He patted my head softly, "Erza." He said quietly, "Let's run away. "

Yes! Say yes! Erza, say yes! I pleaded to myself.

"No!" The word came out uncontrollably, "I hate you!" I pushed him away.

"Erza!" He was surprised.

"I hate you for not waiting for me when I was at the jail! You gave up on me, didn't you? I hate you!" I shouted at him.

"Erza, I'm sorry but I, I can't..." Jellal held my hand tightly.

"Get away! You could've wait for me!" I cried, trying to free my hand from his grip, but he didn't let go.

"Erza, I promise, I will never give up on you again, I will never ever betray you again, Erza, I'm sorry." Jellal said softly.

"You say you will never betray me." I whispered, "But now you are betraying Merry and Ultear. Jellal, do you know what kind of man I hate the most? Men that make their girls heartbroken!" The whisper turned into a yell.

Jellal stared at me with terror, "No." He squeezed my hand, "Erza, please."

"I'm sorry, Jellal, but everything has changed, we will never be able to get back to where we were, we are not on the same path." I gently pulled his hand away.

I bit my lip hard, that it's bleeding, "Jellal, let's not meet again, okay? So that Merry will have a good father, and Ultear will have a good husband, and you will have a happy family."

I silently walked away, but I didn't hear what Jellal was saying, "But Erza, I only want to be with you."

"What have you done!" Lucy sighed, "You could've say yes!"

"But Jellal has his family." I said.

"But he loves you! Do you want him to be with someone he doesn't love?" Lucy rolled her eyes.

"Lucy, it's not as simple as you thought it would be." I said, "Jellal does love Ultear."

"But it doesn't makes sense! How could someone possibly love two people at the same time?" Lucy looked confused.

"Of course you can." I groaned, "Okay, Lucy, you're too immature for this."

"Fine fine, but still, he loves you more." Lucy said.

"Lucy, could you imagine a little baby girl without father?" I asked.

"Yes, they're everywhere. It's not like I don't sympathize for them but, Ultear could find another man to be the baby girl's father!" Lucy said it in a matter-of-fact.

"Would you like a step-father?" I asked.

"Oh my god Erza, it's time for you to think about yourself now than minding about other people's business." Lucy yelled.

"Thanks a lot for your advice Lucy, but I really need to sleep now." I said.

"But Erza..."

Then I just curled up inside the quilt, trying to fall asleep.
