I was nearby a lake. A beautiful lake. Reflecting waters, and calm waves. My dad is sitting beside me fishing. 'Payge!' he called, but he had the voice of my mother.

'Payge! It's time for school! You don't want to be late!'

I groan.

'Payge! Are you listening!'

'Okay, okay. Just five more minutes.'

I snooze back into my dream. The breeze blew to me.

'Payge!'

'That wasn't five minutes!'

I sigh. I'm in a lop-sided position like always. I derpily get out and stretch. I slip into a random 'outfit' that I don't choose because my eyes are blinded by the light.

'Payge!'

'I'm coming in a minute!'

I brush lightly and then floss. I put on a touch of lotion to keep my acne skin glowing.

'Payge! Come clean the table!'

'Coming!'

I run down the stairs and start packing away my homework from the day before.

I start eating the cereal and milk in front of me. My mom starts brushing the tangled jungle.

'Mom! The hurts!'

'Eat your breakfast.'

'I can't when you are brushing my hair!'

'Fine, you do it.'

I brush my brown curly hair until it is completely smooth. I don't know how I do it.

'Why haven't you finished your breakfast!'

'I can't eat while brushing my hair.'

'Great, the bus will come in five minutes.'

'Ugh.'

I eat some of the cereal and start to head out.

'Drink your milk!'

I sip some milk and run out of the door.

The bus just turned around the corner and to the bus stop.

'Payge! Did you study for the unit test?'

'Yeah, of course Delta. Hopefully I don't get a C.'

'Don't worry! Science is your strength.'

'I'm not that great at it.'

The truth is, I am. I am in AC Science and I just love science. It is my strength, but I don't like to brag about it.

'Good Morning Mr. Wether.'

'Ah, Payge! You'll do great on that unit test!'

I smile. Delta tells everything to anyone. She is the Gossip Queen.

'Payge, did you hear that a new kid is coming?'

'No, not at all.'

'Well, John is next door neighbors to the new kid.'

'Delta, that means he is in our neighborhood, right?'

'Of course!'

'So then where is he.'

'He must be late.'

We reach Long Johnson Middle School.

'I have extra lab time today. I won't be on the bus, so text me later.'

'Kay Payge. I have to go to a Student Author's Club. Ugh, I hate the student author this week.'

'Don't be very critical Delta.'

We exit the bus and off to the locker room.

I open my locker after 5 minutes of frustration. My homeroom stuff falls out because some genius, me, created a theory that if your homeroom falls out you'll get it faster. Though I'm still testing the theory.

A note is on my desk. I become confused. No one passes me notes.

It was actually a flyer. It said:

Long Johnson Pasta Party Dance

This weekend!

At the bottom someone wrote:

Payge, will you come with me to the Pasta Party Dance? -Fen

I slightly rolled my eyes. Fen was the popular guy. Probably a dare.

I mouthed to Delta: Nope.

She nodded in response.

'Today we will be reviewing our algebra. Take out your pencils and finish this packet.' Mrs. Tiles says in her high pitched voice.

I groan and start chipping away at the math packet.

After a while, I finish the packet and start playing with my nails to wait for the slow ones. I start to raise my hand for a hall pass, but suddenly there was a knock at the door.

'Mrs. Tiles, sorry for the disruption, but a student has arrived.'

Mrs. Hartfield entered the room and welcomed the student.

'Children this is Mr. Jones. Destin, this is Mrs. Tiles and your classmates..'
