As you, Maka, Soul, Kid, Liz and Patty were eating lunch together, you noticed the blue dot from the corner of your eye. It started walking closer to you. This time, he was accompanied by a tall girl with a black ponytail.
(Oh god. What does that brat want? And who’s that with him? His girlfriend?) You thought as he got to the table. You were sitting between Kid and Liz, so Black*Star didn’t notice you at first.
“What the hell are you doing here!? This table isn’t big enough for you AND a big guy like me! Get lost, punk!” He yelled at you.
“Black*Star, leave her alone. She’s our friend.” Kid said, then turned to smile at you.
“A friend? She’s standing in the way of me surpassing god! I cannot allow her hear anymore!” He yelled to the sky. Now that you weren’t trying to kill him, you could notice a star tattoo on his right arm.
“You do know that tattoos aren’t allowed on campus, right?” You told Black*Star, ignoring his statement.
“I’m too big of a guy for rules!” He shouted.
“Don’t worry about that, _____, it’s a birthmark.” Kid told you.
“Hey, Black*Star, maybe we could let her off the hook? She seems like a nice girl; and the others seem to like her to.” The girl asked Black*Star.
“No way, Tsubaki! She’s trying to surpass god before me! We can’t let that happen!” He shouted.
“Tsubaki, huh? That’s a pretty name!” You told her, tilting your head. Black*Star was pissing you off, so you started following your number one rule: Ignore the problem until it goes away. If it stays, get rid of it yourself.
“Thank you!” She said, smiling at you.
“QUIT TAKING HER SIDE!” Black*Star yelled at Tsubaki.
“Hey, Tsubaki, do you wanna sit with us? We have some free seats!” You asked, smiling. It was fun pissing off Black*Star like this, and Tsubaki seemed nice. You liked her and wanted to be friends. Plus, this might get Black*Star to leave.
“Sure!” She said. Liz scooted over so that Tsubaki could sit next to you. You two started talking about random things that you both liked, and became fast friends.
“No, you’ve betrayed me, Tsubaki…” Black*Star was looking at the ground, depressed.
(What’s his problem? Why doesn’t he just sit down with us and eat some damn food? It’s not that big a deal!) You thought, staring at him. You knew what you had to do to get him to stop moping. The very thought f this made you want to punch a wall, but you decided to swallow your pride and say it.
“Hey, Black*Star…” You stood up, looked at the ground and clenched your fist.
“I-I’m sorry for earlier. My actions were unconventional, and I should have thought about the situation and acted differently. I shouldn’t have jumped strait into violence. And even though the fight was a blur, I’m sorry for anything I might have said to offend you.” You told him. Everyone was shocked. They never thought you would do something like that.
“_____, you don’t have to apologize, he was the one who attacked you! You weren’t at fault!” Kid shouted.
“But I was! I can feel it. I don’t know why, but it wasn’t entirely his fault.” You turned to Kid and yelled.
Black*Star just stood there. Before you knew it, he was hugging you.
“I forgive you!” He shouted, rubbing his face agents yours.
