I told you that

I couldn't live without you,

That I couldn't imagine going

A day without talking to you,

That I would die

Without you in my life,

But where are we now?

We don't talk,

We don't text,

I barely ever see your face,

And guess what?

I'm fine.

I'm getting on with my life,

And I only ever think about you,

About the memories we had,

When I'm sad and lonely at night.

They say if you love something, let it go,

And I did just that.

I loved you with all my being,

And when yous topped trying,

I did too.

I let you go,

and I'm proud of it.

I'm happier now.
