Hey everyone!
I'm so sorry for not writing in here for awhile and giving you guys any updates as to the process of my book! Sometimes life gets in the way and things get put on the back-burner. This is one of those things that I just haven't seen as much of a priority..
However, I'm taking the time tonight to update you on what's going on with the book...
Soooo... I've decided to quit writing in it...
JUST KIDDING!!!! ;)
No, I haven't given up on my story yet.. :) I did end up taking a break from it for about 3 weeks after I wrote the chapter about my cousin, but I've been slowly working on it and as of now my word count is just a little over 12,000 words.. I know that doesn't seem like much, but i do give myself breaks from it usually once a week just so I don't get burnt out on it...
I've only completely finished 1 chapter, and I've gotten bits and pieces done from like, 5 or 6 other chapters... I'm slowly making it :)
Another thing I've changed is that originally, I wanted to be done by the time i graduate cosmetology school, which is november 19, but I've changed that because I've realized that I need to give myself more time than that to make something good, and also, i'm always busy at school, or work, and so I don't get a ton of time to myself to be able to write that much a day.. So i've changed my "end date" completely. My main goal at this point is to have my first draft (just the writing, no editing) done by the end of this year. Then hopefully within 2-3 months I'll have all of the editing done. So at this point, I'm aiming for February-March of next year to publish it!
Another thing that won't really concern you guys is that I've changed the title again, but you didn't know what i originally had it as so... yeah... it doesn't really matter... hahaha
But that's about it... nothing much has really changed.. I'm still really enjoying the story line and my characters, and I'm actually super, crazily attached to them all... Like, I've cried more than once while writing this book... it's crazy... but yeah :)
