It was a cool and silent night in the forest. The full moon illuminated the forest and silver clouds glided across the sky. What had brought Emil Steilsson into the forest that night was unknown, but little did he know that what would happen that night would change his life forever.
"Stupid brother. Stupid Dane. Stupid school," Emil muttered under his breath, kicking a stone along the beaten track. Head down and hands in his pockets, he paced irritably through the dark. He didn't usually go out to the forest very often, especially not at this time of night.
Once he reached the ridge, he stood back and relaxed, bringing his head up. His icy blue eyes searched the sky for stars between the gaps in the silvery clouds. The light of the moon was almost overpowering when it was full. In the distance, the lights of the town glowed like fairy dust scattered across the valley. Emil let his anger evaporate from his body as his surroundings calmed him. He tuned himself into the sounds of the forest.
A bug chirping away, a bird flapping in the distance, the slight rustling of leaves in the breeze, the quiet hum of the sleepy town far away, the slow and steady breath of something behind him. Breath? Emil was sure no one had followed him out that night. It might have just been his brother or cousin. Although, the breathing didn't exactly sound human like.
Fear coursed through Emil's veins and he finally worked up the courage to turn around. He couldn't see anything behind him, but he could definitely hear something. A bush rustled slightly and Emil jumped back slightly from fright. A low growl emitted from behind the dark bush and Emil felt his blood run cold in his veins. Fear struck him like a bus and he turned to run.
Within milliseconds a great foreboding shape flew out of the bushes and pounced onto Emil. He felt the giant paws of the great dark creature slam him into the ground and an excruciating pain rip through his shoulder as the beast dug its teeth into him. He let out a scream of pain as he attempted to scramble to his feet, only to find the creature snarl loudly and pin him down under its weight.
A howl echoed through the forest in the distance and the beast turned its attention away from Emil, allowing him to clamber to his feet. He turned to face the great beast and was met with burning crimson eyes belonging to a massive dark wolf of some sort. The wolf howled back a reply to the first howl and growled ferociously, leaping back into the forest.
Emil stood, completely stunned, panting wildly and clutching his blood soaked shoulder. Only just processing what on earth had just happened, he sprinted for his life all the way back home, tripping up on the undergrowth and bumping into trees as he ran. He didn't know where he was going, hopefully toward his house, but just in the opposite direction of the thing that attacked him.
Blindly dashing through the trees, he caught a glimpse of something furry and silver out of the corner of his eye. Without warning, the silver thing launched itself at him at lightning speed, growling deeply. Emil felt himself being thrown toward the ground, he hit his head on something hard and everything suddenly went black.

I've never seen a werewolf fan fiction before, so I decided to do one. Please note that this isn't just an Iceland fan fiction, it will involve basically most of the Hetalia characters and shift to their focus. Due to the multiple focus shift, chapters will mostly be short, but sweet, action packed and full of important and angsty things.
I hope you enjoyed and continue reading, I will update constantly. I look forward to posting more.
And yes, that is Prussia on the cover, and yes, he will have a nice big part in this story.
