"Dr. Fischer, I'm sorry but there are a few more patients in the waiting room with similar symptoms as the prvious," the nurse said as she peeked into the doctor's office. He was sitting in his large swivel chair with his back towards the door. He stared out through the window.

This is no joke... This is a horrible nightmare. That we can't escape from. Dr. Fischer's friend had said two months ago when the first wave of this mysterious disease swept across the mid-western area of the United States. However, Dr. Fischer laughed it off.

That was two months ago. He now realized just how serious it was spreading quickly throughout the entire nation now. The problem was that the source of this disease, let alone a cure, wasn't known. People were bleeding non-stop, limbs decayed and fell off, eyes became piercing red, and they looked like walking corpses. The butchers had even begun to sell human flesh, as it was what these people couldn't get enough of these days.

"Dr. Fischer? Dr. Fischer?" the nurse grew impatient.

"Hmm?" Dr. Fischer swiveled around and asked.

"I said... there are more patients waiting for you with similar symptoms as the people you've been seeing all day," the nurse restated.

In fact, it was more like the entire month had been just people with these odd symptoms crawling in and out of his office.

"Send 'em in," he said tiredly.
