*****NOT EDITED******

Marcos sat in Silent's cell giving him the details he had learned from Sammy a couple of days ago. His veins ice cold when he had mentioned who else was entangled in it. Silent listened without asking questions till the end. Sammy had took a picture of the map that Chavo had given them and had sent it to him by phone. There were a few inmates that had access to cell phones. This was how Silent had managed all the operations outside of the prison walls.

"I know this guy." Silent said referring to Chavo. "He's definitely a high player. Right now they're having issues with some of the Cartels in Mexico. Fuck, bringing them LA's Chief might be a type of peace offering, or some type of realignment." He expelled his breath considering what all of it meant. His smile slow as he thought about the fate of the Chief.

"What do you think?" Marcos said as nerves plagued him.

"Let me call around, I'll let you know in a few days. Don't worry about Eva, she's got eyes on her back."

Marcos tried to have the same amount of confidence as Silent had. Eva was now involved with another type of giants. He prayed that she would be safe.

"Joe it's the only way. I'm telling you, he's a friend. I know he can help in this. Please let me help. I don't feel right knowing all this information and keeping my hands tied." Vanessa pleaded as she visited him in prison.

"Vanessa, you need to stay out of this. I don't want anything to happen to you or the kids. Eva...well, she's made out of different stuff. She's one of us in this. You, you're not cut out for this shit. I do admire everything you've done for them but...I don't want you in this."

"I'm sorry Joe, but I've sat back way to long. I'm doing this." she held his eyes, determination in her voice.

Joe expelled a breath of frustration. He knew her intentions were in the right place. He didn't want to involve any form of government agency, it might put a wrench in their plan. All he could do was nod at her. He knew there was no use in arguing with her, she was going ahead with her plans. He just hoped that for everyone's sake it all went well.

Eva and Sammy began to surveillance the house and some of the spots that Chavo had given them. They had decided to hit the apartment a couple of weeks after they had memorized the shift changes. They were in an old beat up Nissan trying to stay undercover. They video taped the Chief and other officers going in and out of the run down apartments. Eva was waiting for the shift to change before making her way into the apartment.

She was dressed in all black, leggings and thin sweater blending in with the night. Sammy had decided to go with his casual attire, starter cap, dark jeans and dark t-shirt and Nike hyperdunk shoes. No longer was the look of CPA man. He looked more in place with the area. Eva and Sammy went over the plan for the 20th time. She had less than 8 minutes to get in and out.

"I know Sammy, I got it." she said with annoyance in her voice.

"What happens if you're caught." Sammy said ignoring her statement.

"I take the cyanide pill." she smiled teasing.

Sammy looked up at her expectantly. He was placing a small button camera on her sweater. Her smile removing the comment he was about to say out of his mouth.

"Okay Eva, it's show time." his smiled at her eagerly. He was reminiscing on the times when they used surveillance against the cops. Trying to stay steps ahead of them.
