It was a simple plan to say the least. You could find it in any dramafied, teenage love novel. But, you never really thought that it would work the way it was suppose to. Did you?
I was to become Deirdre's best friend. Or friend at the very least. So, yes you guessed it, I could get closer to Minax .
Yeah, I know I'm a mean bitch.
But, when I want someone I don't let other people get in the way of my happiness otherwise they would think they could walk all over me. Which they already do.
So, in that faithful day in gym, I put my plan into motion. With a spice of my own ideas.
I spotted him during a not too serious game of capture the flag. He was crossing over to our side and ironically enough was turned my way.
Now, at the time, me being the techy person I am, I had hacked my sister's Facebook and pretended I was her. He had told her (me) something about Black Veil Brides, my favourite band, and I had profusely said I loved him because well, that kind of shit made my day.
Anyway, I had turned my head and saw him, his gaze also on me. He looked nervous that I was going to tag him.
"Hi" he said, waving weakly.
"Hi!" I said enthuastically, waving like a squirrel on meth.
I ran over to him and grabbed him up in a hug. I think he thought that I was gonna get him out.
"I love you!" I said, probably attracting more attention than nessacary. But I gave a shit this much 0.
"Uhhh." he managed to say when I let go and wasn't squeezing his internal organs.
"Well bye, you smell really good by the way." I said and walked away over to my friend.
She looked at me like I was a crazy spazz head. Mission accomplished.
Now, I was completely under the impression that my plan was going to go down in flames because well that first impression that I had made on the boy who had somehow been connected to me all the time I had moved here, was less than normal and polite.
So, I was very sure he hated me and thought I was a freak.
But, sometimes life and fate occur and your thrown under the wheels of a bus that's moving 1,500 miles an hour.
I had just gotten out of the locker room, walking with my books to my next class. Alone.
When I felt a tap on my shoulder. And that simple gesture of getting someone else's attention changed how things start. And how things as easy as that, can change all you live for.
I whipped my head around and saw Deirdre. A slight smile on his lips. Looking at the ceiling.
In a way, this was incredibly endearing to me. No guy had ever cared enough or even showed any sort of interest in me. Well, at least not for 2 years.
I smiled at this, it warmed me truth be told, and wrapped an arm around him. Pressing him against my tiny body.
"Hi best friend." I said looking at him with a huge grin.
I always thought reactions were hilarious and his was quite funny. It was a soft smile, with him looking embarassed.
"Hi." he said quietly.
But, let me assure you, Deirdre Garter was NOT a quiet person.
"Will you be my best friend?" I asked curiously, realizing I hadn't asked him.
"Sure?" he said making it sound like a question.
I just smiled like the ocean, when I watched his eyes look at something, or someone else.
It was Vile Jones, who was laughing and Deirdre was looking at him with daggers though there was a tentative smile on his face.
"I'll see you later Deirdre." I said, and loped to my next class.
