Nicki POV chapter 5
5 minutes!!!!! The teacher yelled
Shit! Nicki said under her breath. She was stuck on this one problem and had no idea how to work it out. She raised her hand and the teacher came over.
Teacher: yes Nicki?
Nicki: ummm..... I can't seem to figure this problem out do you have any pointers on how to solve it?
Teacher: I'm sorry but at this point you should know how to do this I can't help you.
Nicki: oh ok 😑
The teacher walked back up to his desk and yelled Times Up!!!!!!!!!
Nicki was super frustrated.
Nicki: Mr.Jones can I get a little extra time and finish my test on my free period tomorrow?
Mr.Jones: ummmmm....
Nicki: PLEASE please please please
Mr.Jones: ok Nicki here's what I'm gonna do. And you know I never do this for my other students so this is a reward for being such a good student this year. You're one of the smartest students in this class. So what I'm gonna say is that you can have 30 more minutes to finish this test if you score lower than an 80% if you want to raise it to a 100% I can think of an extra credit assignment for you. But if you score over an 80% I'm gonna have to keep it how it is. You can have the extra 30 minutes during lunch.
Nicki sighed and then thought about it and decided that if she didn't want her mom to kill her she would have to take this offer that mr.jones so kindly provided for her.
Nicki: ok I'll take your offer
Mr.Bakati the English teacher came in the classroom.v
Mr.bakati: Nicki don't do it !!!!!!!!!! Don't take the offer!!!!! Drugs are NEVER the answer.
Mr.Jones and Nicki both turned around startled and confused.
Mr.bakati: I'm juss playing I know you're not a drug dealer Bryce 😂😂😂. How are you doing ms.maraj?
Nicki:I'm doing alright.........well I was until you scared the shit outta me😂
Mr.bakati: ayye watch your mouth fool we're in school. And we'd both be in trouble if principle Alsina walked through that door.
Principle Alsina is August Alsina's mom. August is a freshman and Nicki is a junior and August has a little crush on Nicki so sometimes Nicki tutors him cause he "needs help". Nicki is cool with the principle because of August and because Nicki is one of the smartest kids in her school.
Nicki: but I only see you in school and you know I curse and anyways it doesn't matter cause I'm cool with the principle.
Nicki smiled so her dimples were showing.
Mr.Bakati: mhm. Anyways ms.thang I need to talk to mr.jones here and I was wondering if you two were done your meeting?
Nicki:yeah I'm done I'm probably gonna fail this test anyway.......
Mr.Bakati: you're a very smart girl Nicki you have more than enough potential I hear good things from all of your teachers so you definitely won't fail.
Nicki: ok let's bet on it. give me $20 if I fail
Mr.bakati: no.
Nicki: than what do I get?
Mr.Jones: the satisfaction of being right😃
Mr.bakati: about being wrong😂😂
Nicki: shut up!!!!! You know what I'm out. See you 5th period !!!!
Mr.bakati+mr.jones: bye!!!!!!
After first period there's a 20 minute break before 2nd period so Nicki went to find Beyoncé. Knowing where she might be Nicki went straight to the library to find bey curving some nigga who seemed to always be messing with someone he was a known fuckboy and he was running out of girls to fuck with so there he was trying to flirt with bey. Nicki started cracking up behind him.
Bey was faced towards him so she was looking at Onika laughing at her she tried to lightly signal Nicki to come over and save her but Nicki was still cracking up so was left to struggle. While Nicki was laughing mr.fuckboy was getting a little bit too close Beyoncé kept slapping his hand away from her when all of a sudden mr. Carter comes walking through the bookshelf isles to push him out of the way.
Mr.Carter: excuse me young man but ms.knowles asked you to stop.
The boy (his name is not even important): nahhhh man we was just playing
Mr.carter: is that true beyoncé? (He said that with a little uneasiness in his voice)
Beyoncé: ummmmm no we actually weren't playing
Mr.Carter: if someone tells you no you should leave them alone. If you keep messing with random girls and trying to feel them up and you don't take no for an answer in the real world people call that being a rapist. And I know you're momma don't want no rapist as a son.
Mr.Carter kind of laughed it off but made sure everyone knew he was serious. He nodded at beyoncé and gave the boy a quick glare before leaving. After that the boy just walked away and Nicki went over to Bey.
Nicki: oh my goooooood I can't believe that just happened he came outta nowhere like superman saving his damsel in distress😂😂😂
Bey: ok Onika calm down it wasn't that serious. I'm pretty sure other teachers woulda done the same thing.
Nicki: honey you know damn well no teacher in dis school woulda done shit unless someone was ACTUALLY getting raped.
Bey:aight whatever I'm not even gonna talk about it no more. Changing the subject have you seen meek today?
Nicki: no.
Bey: Onika how bad was the fight you guys got in?
Nicki: Just a little bit worse than the other ones
Bey: has he at least texted you once today?
Nicki: no, he usually needs time to cool off I was gonna look for him around lunch and if I can't find him I'm just gonna call him when I get home to see what's up
Bey: alright she said wearily
Beyoncé had seen how bad meek and nicki's fights were. Nicki would be left heartbroken time after time and meek would be off fucking some hoe to get his mind off of her. Nicki would come running to Bey's door blubbering over whatever problem they had and how she never knew how she could love someone so disrespectful and damaged. Then a couple of days later meek would come back with some really expensive present and a promise that he would never hurt her again. After that the problem would magically disappear and never spoken of again(as far as beyoncé knew). One day Beyoncé was thinking, and she realized that if they keep fighting and their problems never really get resolved because it's just covered up with material things and promises that are never kept their relationship will fall apart and when it does Nicki is going to be hurt beyond words. For this reason Beyoncé didn't really like meek and was waiting for the right time to tell nicki before it was too late.
