"What if I don't make any friends?" I complained while we, well... I was waiting to board the plane. "Honey your a very social butterfly you will." she hesitated. "Mom don't ever say that again." I laughed. "What social butterfly?" She mumbled, before I could answer my dad walked over to my mom and I with two overfilled coffee cups.

He was walking very slow, the crowd of people making him nervous. I doubt he wanted coffee all over his fancy shirt.
"That's sweet of you!" My mom said, taking the one cup from my dads grip, I grabbed the other cup. It was hot and I quickly placed it between my legs, I was wearing jeans so it didn't hurt.
"Thanks." I mumbled.
"Why the long face?" My dad asked, with a frown.
"Nervous." I quickly replied. Which I was. The lady up front called out my plane number. We quickly got up, my dad gave me a big old smile and I gave him a quick shy one. I grabbed my suitcases and headed for the plane. "Honey we will see you soon!" She yelped. My dad nodded and put his arm around my mom. I think he was crying but I didn't know.
"Bye mom and dad, love you!" I waved, it was embarrassing but I didn't really care, I highly doubted i'd see any of the people in the lineup again.
I looked out the window, the view was amazing I could still just barely see the airport. I got a hint of regret, but quickly got over it, like I said I've been waiting for this day for years. I put in my headphones and drifted off. I had a dream, I was in my raft, we hit a rock. I couldn't make it out but the water was moving quickly. Someone screamed, we started tipping and I went under water, searching for air.
I woke up with a startle and heavy breathing. I think I made a weird body movement so I slumped down in my seat and looked around nervously. The plane was about to land.
