The breakfast table was a chaotic frenzy of chatter and, for a change, Sierra was able to pay attention to some of it - after she had started to satisfy her raging appetite to degree anyway.

"Are you sure all the proper arrangements are in place?" Jocelyn asked Kalko.

He nodded. "I rechecked everything two days ago. The booking is confirmed and they're expecting us there around eight. We'll have the entire place to ourselves until lunchtime."

"Lunchtime!" Ken groaned. "That's half the day. There are so many things I want to check out and I have to get a whole bunch of things from our supplier..." he protested.

"Still not telling us what the big plan is?" Anthony asked Kalko, ignoring his friend's petty gripes.

Their team leader shook his head. "I know how you all love to live in suspense."

Senka nearly spat out her glass of juice. She coughed awkwardly in recovery. Apparently even she'd found that little remark somewhat lame.

Jocelyn turned her attention to Sierra then.

"Any ideas which clubs you'll be visiting tonight?" she asked with a small smile and a twinkle of nostalgia in her eyes.

"I've heard that Club Neon is good, but honestly it's up to the group. Majority vote wins," Sierra suggested.

Everyone seemed to be in agreement with that idea.

"Will we still be able to sort out my banking problem?" she asked Jocelyn next.

"Most certainly. There will be a few hours available in the afternoon in which we can attend to that matter," Jocelyn replied confidently. "I shall be arriving towards the end of your session so that I can join you for lunch and run a few errands of my own," she informed them. "Anyone that does not wish to spend the night in the city may return with me. We will leave the other car for the more adventurous team members."

Ken and Anthony glanced at each other.

"Shotgun!" they both called out in unison.

Sierra laughed. She watched them argue momentarily about who'd called it out first.

"I think you guys need a more legitimate way of deciding this," Sierra proposed.

The two men glanced at her inquiringly, seemingly eager to hear her suggestion.

"Rock, paper, scissors of course!" she told them with another laugh. "Best out of three wins."

They glanced at each other for a moment, then shrugged nonchalantly and started the first round. It was priceless to observe.

"Who gets to drive?" Devon asked.

"It is always a family member," Senka replied with a dreamy sigh.

"Hey, I don't make the rules!" Luc shot back with a big grin. He clearly wasn't complaining either.

"Do you like driving, Senka?" Sierra asked offhandedly, since Devon seemed to have melted into a pool of goo as a result of the feline's direct response to his question.

"Does a fish like water?" she inquired in response. "I have an advanced driving certificate and I used to race street bikes too, but no one in this team seems to think it is important," Senka grumbled.

"Devon used to have a Jaguar convertible back at his home," Sierra remarked casually.

Senka's eyes widened with sudden interest. Devon stiffened uncomfortably next to Sierra, as though he was nervous and didn't know how to respond. She wasn't sure what was going on with her friend. He never got tongue tied around women!
