New Girlfriend

I grab a cart from the inside of the market and I walk up and down the aisles to find at least a month store of food. After a few trips up and down a few aisles I look down in my cart and see 2 gallons of milk, sodas, water bottles, 2 packs of shredded and squared cheese, 2 boxes of lucky charms, Reese's puffs, and captain crunch cereal, 2 bags of popsicles, a gallon of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream, pizza dough, cookie dough, few packs of gum, a frozen chicken, 2 boxes of large eggs, rice, ground beef, mash potatoes, and 4 bags of bread. I nod my head and look around for a check out station. I see a self check out station and start pushing my cart towards it.

When I finally get there I start sliding one thing at a time across the scan light and put it in a shopping bag then putting it back in the cart. As soon as I'm half way through someone taps on my shoulder. I turn my head and I see Sonic.

Sonic is a 25 year old tall blue hedgehog. Today, he's wearing a white shirt, dark blue baggy jeans, white gloves, and his trademark shoes. He's cocky, handsome, a pain in the ass, and a fucking cheater. We was going out for 5 fucking years and he dumps me like it doesn't even bother him. I thought we were gonna get married and everything but, I guess not. I wonder who his next victim is.

I look to his left and I see a brown chipmunk with blue eyes wearing a white tank top with a blue jeans jacket, short jeans shorts, and white flats under his arm.

This must be his new girl friend. I smile at them both and they smile back. 'I guess I have to start this conversation.' I turn my body around to them and put my right hand out for the chipmunk to shake. She grabs my hand and I lightly shake it.

"Hi, I'm Amy Rose."

"Hey, I'm Sally Acorn." She seems nice. I guess. She probably putting up a show in front of Sonic so later on when she's alone she could talk shit.

"It's nice to meet you Sally."

"It's nice to meet you too." We take our hands back and I look at Sonic.

"Hello Sonic. How have you been doing?" Ha ha! Bet he didn't see that one coming. He arch an eyebrow but quickly replaced it with a smile. I knew it. He was trying start something.

"Hey Ames. I've been doing fine. I've also got me a new girlfriend this week."

Sonic looks at Sally and kisses her cheek. Sally blushes and lightly pushes Sonic.

"Sonic stop. We're in public and one of your friends are in front of us.''

Sally gets Sonic off of her and quietly mouths sorry to me. I slightly chuckle and shake my head at her. I think I might like this girl. Keyword, MIGHT!

"No, its fine. It just shows how much he loves you." Sally blushes more and turns her head into Sonic's shoulder. I smile more and turn towards Sonic who was staring at my outfit. Pervert! I need them to leave. Think Amy think!

"Um, why don't you guys go head home. I was listening to the radio and the whether channel said that it was a 60% chance of rain and I don't want you guys to get wet from it." I cheaply smile and slightly shrug his shoulders. Well, it was partially true. I was listening to the radio but, my little excuse seem to work on Sonic more than Sally. Yep Sonic is still afraid of water.

"Well we'll be going. See ya later Ames." I wave at him and Sally as Sonic picks up Sally and runs outside. After they we're out of sight I roll my eyes and groan. I can't believe Sonic had the nerve to even look at me. I turn back to finish checking out my stuff and paying then I walk out the market with the cart full of food and less money in my wallet. I take out my phone and dial Cream's number as I open the truck of my car and start putting my groceries in it. When she finally answers, I put my phone between my ear and shoulder as I put the cart off to the side.

"What's up Amy." Through the phone, it sounded like she was outside. I shrug at the thought.

"Cream you won't believe what just happened to me when I was at the super market." I close the trunk of my car and get inside of it.

"What happened?"

"Sonic happened. And do you know who he was with?" I hook my phone into the car making Cream's voice sound like the radio. I backup out of the parking lot then drive down the street toward my house.

"He's girlfriend?"

"Yep and half of the time when I was talking to her, he was looking at my body. Urg!! THAT PERVERT!"

"WAIT! He was looking at your WHAT?!"

"YEP! AND he was trying to start some mess. I think he was trying to see a cat fight."

"Amy calm down. I don't want you fighting for something that's not worth fighting."

"No, I wasn't going to fight anyone. I was just calmly talking to his girlfriend and when we got done introducing ourselves I turned to Sonic and asked how he was doing. He had a confused look on his face but when Sally looked up at him he had put a smile on his face. Cream he's trying to start something. I'm telling you."

"Who's Sally?"

"His new girlfriend."

"Oh."

"Cream what do I do?" I hit my steering wheel and hear Cream sigh heavily.

"Don't worry about it Amy. He's just trying to get you jealous that's all. Anyways we're going out tonight remember. And by tomorrow he's gonna be just another friend to you." I sigh a little as I pull up in my driveway. I open the garage door with my key pad and drive into it. I park my car but not turn off the engine.

"Your right Cream. By tomorrow he'll just be a friend."

"Aren't I always." I roll my eyes and chuckle.

"Yes Cream. Your totally right ALL THE TIME! Hear the sarcasm." Cream and I laugh.

"Wow Amy. Way to boost a person's ego. Don't I feel appreciated. Wait, hear the sarcasm." I giggle then roll my eyes.

"Heh sorry for busting your ego. Bye Cream."

"Heh later Amy." She hangs up as I turn off the engine, grab my purse, and open my trunk. I take all my groceries into the house and put them where they need to go. I recycle the bags and sit on the couch. I can't wait til tonight.

I groan and grab the TV remote. I flip through channels looking for something to help let time pass by.

"This is never gonna work." I throw the remote down and smash my face into a nearby pillow.
