*beep beep*
I groan as my alarm went off for the second time this morning. I don't want to move, I don't want to leave this warmth. I groan again as I stretch out my legs under the covers." Anna get your ass up, you need to leave soon and so do I" an all to familiar voice shout from the other side of my door. My mother, that wonderful woman who gave birth to me and the same woman I hardly ever see. In her perfect little world making a big name for herself in the clothing industry is more important than spending time with her amazing daughter, she doesn't know what she's missing.
I roll out of bed, the same thing I do every morning. Hitting the floor with a thud, crawling over to the door, lifting myself up with support of the door handle. I Open my eyes properly trying to adjust to the light in the room, I glance at my clock. 7.50am.
"Shit" I shout realizing I had 10 minutes till jess arrived.
"Language!" my mother call from her room down the hall.
Panic takes over as I begin rushing around my room, gathering my clothes and running to the bathroom almost slipping on my clothes from yesterday morning. From where I done the exact same thing, over slept. I brush my teeth and rapid pace, apply light make up and comb through my hair before tying it up in a messy bun.
I stop for a moment and stare at my reflection.Averaged female.. averaged height 5'6, brown hair, boring blue eyes.
I sigh and continue to dress in just simple skinny jeans and a long sleeve top, once I'm done, I go to leave the bathroom but not before turing round, glancing in the mirror and sighing once more.I make my way down stairs hurriedly, trying not to fall like last time. As I reach the bottom the door knocks.
" Just a sec" I shout as I squeeze into my converse and grab my bag. I turn towards the door but before I have to chance to reach for the handle, the door swings open and in walks a tall blonde with bright green eyes, the same green eyes I've seen every morning for the past 8 years where staring at me once again.
" Jesus Anna, you're always so bloody slow, now move" the tall blonde talks down to me.
"Morning to you too jess" I say with a sarcastic tone as I stand. Jess smiles sweetly at me and then swallows me in a hug. Just like always I get a face full of blonde curls.
"Now come on before we are late" she says setting me free of her arms and leading the way out the door.
"Goodbye mrs Smith. Have a good day" Jess shouts back before I shut the door and head towards Jess' car. I climb inside the passenger seat and buckle up. Waiting for jess to start the car so I can hold on for dear life. I have no idea how she go her licence, she just turned 17 a few months back and has crashed once already. Eventually I will be the one driving, a weeks till I turn 17, thank God. I bet I could do a better job than her. It looks easy enough.
" So what are we doing for your birthday then?" Jess pipes up pulling me out of thought, like she had just read my mind.
" Well..I..." I begin as we pull out of my drive way and hit the road.
" Because we should totally do something really special, like when I turned 17 we had that like really big party, and then Ryan bought me that beautiful necklace, OMG I love him so much" as usual Jess interrupts me and ends up talking about Ryan, her boyfriend. He's a nice guy and all but I know things jess doesnt but I'd never have the heart to tell her. She's happy with him. 'What you don't know can't hurt you' is what my dad always said before he passed 2 years ago .Oh I miss dad.
"Anna? Are you even listening?" Yet again jess pulls me out of thought .
"Erm... Yeah of course" I fail to reply convincingly.
"Yeah well like I was saying, I want to plan something special for Ryan's 19th, but i dunno what" jess continued, I guess I did reply convincingly and of course I forgot to mention Ryan was 2 years older than us, already left school and doing God knows what .But somehow Jess is cool with it. Maybe she thinks having an older boyfriend makes her seem more mature. I dunno, I will never understand female.
As we pull into the school parking lot, I yet again feel dread for the day ahead. Just like I do every morning. I lazily pull myself out the car and suddenly I am faced with Ryan and his group for idiots .
