New and true friends.

Riley's pov;
I ran to catch up with Betsy. Betsy wait I called as I pulled up behind her, "what!?" She snapped. I backed away in fright then she quickly realized what she said "I am sorry I just am hurt I really like lucas but he loves you, I'm happy for you both and I will just get out of your way!" She spoke softly.i quickly spoke back, "Betsy u are really nice please don't leave I wanna be friends!!" "Really!?" She said surprised. "Really."
Betsy's pov:
I really like lucas but he's moved on maybe I should too I quickly hugged riley and told her we could be friends and ran upstairs looking down when I bumped into someone named Charlie gardener.
C: hi
B: I'm so sorry!
C: it's cool
B: smiles
C: my names charlie by the way!
B: I'm Betsy, I am from Austin Texas!
C; oh cool! Aren't zay and lucas from there!
B: uhhh yeah they were in fact I used to date lucas I still really like him but he's with riley.
C: no way! I used to date riley but then she got with lucas and I still like her!
B: oh wow I guess we are in a love rectangle then (laughs gently)
C: I guess we are! See ya around bets!
B: Byee
After Charlie left I could breathe again I had to get lucas of my chest. All of a sudden I felt weird did Charlie want something!? Or was he just being nice.
2 days later
It's been two days since I first felt heartbreak and since I exchanged numbers with Charlie. All of a sudden my phone buzzed.
Charlie 😀: hey bets! Can you meet me at the beach In 5 I needs talk 2 u 😏.
I texted back really quickly
Me: sure! See you soon!

I quickly grabbed my bikini thinking I could swim later and a long shirt over top I did slight makeup and waterproof mascara tied my hair back and ran down. I saw Charlie and ran up to him.
HEY!! I yelled.
Charlie turned around he ran up to me and dragged me to the beach. We started to walk on the beach together it reminded me of lucas. I shook the feeling away he likes riley now. Charlie took me to the edge of the sand and talked to me
C: Betsy I wanted to ask you something.
B: sure! Anything
C: I want revenge
B: revenge!? On who?
C: on rucas and I need help
B: so you are asking me!
C: yeah you like lucas and I like riley if we wilt this right lucas will love you and riles will love me!
B: I don't know.......
C: come on please!
B: as long as we don't hurt them!
C: deal.
I decided to help only because he promised not to hurt them. I pulled Charlie up and I took off my large shirt I shoved him into the water getting him soaked.
He took of his shirt and I couldn't help but stare I quickly shook it off before he caught me looking and before I knew it I was on his back and he threw me into the water. We swimming for what seemed like for ever than we sat down on the sand and watch the stars. He helped me keep my mind off lucas he was a true friend.
