Aphmau's POV

I woke up to my alarm clock going off. Finally I had woken up on time! I went to check on Levin and Malachi. I peered into the room and quickly realized they were both sound asleep. I smiled to myself. I walked downstairs to see Zoey cooking breakfast. "Morning Zoey." She turned around surprised. "Lady Aphmau! My you are up earlier then usual. Is everything okay?" I smiled. "Everything is fine Zoey." "Okay. Breakfast will be ready soon."  "Do you need any help?" "Thank you but no. I'm perfectly capable." "Okay Zoey." I walked downstairs to the spare bedroom. Laurence was still asleep. "That's strange..." I mumbled to myslef. I found myself looking closer at his face. He looked so peaceful when he slept. Suddenly he reached up and grabbed my wrist. I looked at him surprised. "L- Laurence?" "Aphmau, you of all people should know a guard always sleeps with one eye open." He sat up still holding on to my wrist. He leaned in till his face was inches from mine. "Laurence stop!"I tried to pull away. Fortunately Garroth walked in. "Laurence let go of h- her!"  Laurence smirked. He whispered in my ear. "You may not know it but one day you will be mine." He let go of my wrist. Garroth cleared his throat. "Lady Aphmau, I need to speak with you."  "Okay Garroth."  I did my best to hide my relief. I succeeded. Garroth led me to the lake. "Aphmau I- uhhh. Where were you at Leona's baby shower?" What? "What are you talking about? I was with Kiki." "Aphmau. I was in the woods that day. I saw what happened." Saw what? What is he talking about about? "Garroth what are you talking about? What did you see?" "I saw you and l- Laurence..." "? Garroth I wasn't in the woods. Neither was Laurence that I know of." "You and him kissed Aphmau! You ran into the woods and kissed! I watched you do it!" I was surprised at his outburst. "Garroth," I said softly. "You know what you saw wasn't me." He sighed obviously relieved. "You're right. It could have been a magicks user for all I know. I'm sorry Aphmau..." "It's okay. Besides, if me and Laurence did get together, you would be the first to know."
