Chapter 5

Katelyn's POV

I stood leaning against the guard tower wall reading a book. Before you say anything I know! I'm not a big reader but Aphmau let me borrow this book called "Two Ways" It is about a girl that has 2 boys that like her. She knew the first one liked her but didn't know the second one liked her until later on. When she finds out both of them liner her, her heart is split in two different ways, one way for the first boy and one way for the second boy. She likes hem both and can't decide. Anyways I really should stop reading this... Suddenly Garroth walked in. I lost my composure completely. Hey! A girl can have a crush! He noticed and asked, "Are you okay?" I nodded and looked away. He asked me to sit down. I complied. "Katelyn I have been needing to ask you something.." I nodded. He looked really nervous as he started to speak, "You see I... Uh..." Then Laurence walked in. He acknowledged Garroth with a nod and turned to me. He said, "Garroth wants to know if you will date him." Garroth glared at him but then turned to me, his expression softening. Although I didn't show it I was actually freaking out on the inside. "Yes." I said. Garroth said," I understand if you don't want- wait what? Really?!" "Yes" I repeated. He smiled one of his biggest smiles. I literally thought I was going to melt under his gaze. It was so... Well.. Loving I guess. I smiled right back at him while Aphmau and Laurence backed out a bit awkwardly. However I could hear Laurence say something like, "Yes!! My ship has sailed." I looked at the door then Garroth and I reached over and pulled him closer. I know this was totally unlike me but hey! Again a girl can have a crush!! Before I did anything else he leaned closer and kissed me. It felt electric, or for a lack of better words, it felt like electricity was flowing beneath my skin. He asked me something but I was to dazed to hear. "Katelyn!" He said. "What?" "Follow me." I stood up and followed him. As we walked I stared at him. A few times he would notice and look at me but I held his gaze. Finally we arrived at the... Hill? He looked at me and whispered. "I thought it would be nice to enjoy the sunset together. I smiled brightly. And we sat and watched as the sun sank down beneath the mountains.

Zane's POV

I stood pacing by the throne. My dad had died and I was now the king. I was angered greatly that Laurence and my brother had meddled in my business. They were so going to pay for that. I laughed evilly as I thought of the perfect plan. I ordered my guards to watch the castle. I was going on a little "trip". MWHAAAAAAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
