Chap 26. A simple wish!!
Ring ring
Jannat's mobile rang, flashing Alyaan's number at display. Jannat picked up knowing that he would have called to favour Shayan's proposal.
"Hello chashmish! Suna hai bary fit proposal shroposal aa rahy hyn bhyii! Haan?! [Hey! I have heard you are getting best proposals]"
The way he talked made Jannat smiled. She replied, "Alyaan! I -I am confused!"
"Jannat! Apni phli sans sy janta hoon tumhy! [I know you from my first breath, Jannat!] I know you will agree for it in the end. Why are you making that little boy so nervous!"
Jannat bit her lower lip at this out of her own nervousness. "Alyaan! I am considering it. So, Let's hope for the best!"
"Oh! You just accepted! The best person for you is him. And for him are you!"
"Can we just hope for the best?!"
"Of course!"

"Shayan!" Jannat exclaimed as soon as she woke up. His name was the first name which crossed Jannat's mind early in the morning.
Words of Aruba repeated in her mind,
"Jannat! If you're confused about all this proposal thing, then seek guidance from Allah Almighty!"
"How?!" Jannat asked.
"Istikhara!" She replied in obvious tone. "Just pray the istikhara prayer, and sleep. Next morning whatever thought comes to your mind is what Allah wills. You may hallucinate him, You may dream about him, or may have any positive thoughts! Just remember, whatever you decide, it must be for Allah!"
"But Aruba! Shaheer is the one I love!" Jannat whispered. "He was the person Allah blessed me with! The best gift!"
"Jannat! I get it, but nobody dies with the person who.. who is dead. You can't chose the person who is d-ead over the person who is alive. And than, if Allah Almighty can take away something you never imagined losing. He can replace it with a thing you never imagined possessing!"
Jannat listened carefully, so Aruba continued, "Jannat! Just pray istikhara prayer! He will guide you with the best!"
"So is it a yes?!" Jannat asked herself. "Shayan's name was the thing which appeared on my lips! What does it mean?! Do I have to say yes?!"
Jannat blinked and blink repeatedly to sink in the decision, I have to marry Shayan, for the sake of Allah!
Anyway, She called Aruba knowing she would help. After a few bells she picked up with cheering voice, "Aslam-o-Alaikum! So? Was it positive?!"
Jannat smiled at her enthusiasm, "Walikum asalam! Well, yeah! It was positive!"
"So?! What are you going to do?" Aruba asked confused with lack of zeal in Jannat's voice.
