Chapter 3

(Damiente's POV)
To say I was shocked was a fact, Alpha May was in my office telling me that she is going to reject my son as if she was talking about the weather.

"Did he do anything?" I just had to ask.

"Something ? He proved himself unworthy of being my mate. That is all." She chuckled.

I nodded.

(Third POV)
The tension in the air was heavy,it's as if it was hard to breath. Just as Damiente nodded , the door of his office slammed open.

"Dad,I can smell-- Mate."

Six foot seven talk, dark brown hair, ripped. That was Blaze. Kacey looked at Blaze unfazed.(😂) Without reading the atmosphere, Blaze picked Kacey up and put his head in the crook of her neck. As Blaze reeked of that girl's cheap perfume, Kacey pushed him away,which looked like she was swatting a mosquito off of her.

"I,Alpha Kacey May,reje--" She couldn't finish her sentence as Blaze had covered her mouth.

"Why ?"

And she showed him why by letting all her power radiate off of her. She had to control it so as not to attract attention and if she didn't , everyone would always stay mum and be scared of her. But she had to show Blaze his place.

Feeling such a powerful aura, Blaze was forced to his knees. She wasn't only powerful. Kacey was beautiful,sensible , fiery and a lot more. Blaze felt that no matter what he shouldn't give up on his mate.

"Now wait outside until we are finished." It wasn't a request. It was an order.

"I see but you can't expect me to give up on my mate because she is stronger than me." Blaze dared.

"Fine then. If you defeat Trevor, I won't reject you as my mate."

He nodded and made his way out. Trevor might look like someone you cant push around but he wasn't. In a fight , he can prove to be a real sadist. He wasn't ranked as Beta of Royals for show.

"As you might noticed,my power rivals that of my father's, might even be greater than his. Your son is just far too weak."

Damiente nodded again as he was lost. He didn't have any words.

"That would be all." She concluded ad made her way out.

Kacey had her reasons for wanting to reject Blaze. She was angry at him for kissing someone else but she had enemies. Blaze wasn't strong enough to protect himself against them. Kacey is still a girl and she couldn't bear the thought of her mate dying in front of her.

The rogues that she's been seeing lately are weird. Their eyes are of a bizarre colour. Wolves are supposed to be dogs literally but they had cat like features. They were agile and well it's like imagining a cat and a dog together. The wolf features were prominent but the cat features couldn't be missed. When she captured one of those things, she throughly examined it. The ears and eyes were catlike , the jaw was definitely one of a wolf's. It had two racks of canines upwards and downwards. Their claws were made of gold laced with wolf's bane. The latter didn't have a strong effect on Royals but it could cause serious damage to an average wolf. It can prove to be lethal even for an Alpha. Like Blaze Santiago.
