I was running through the woods trying to get away from the careers, but I was just a small twelve year old girl, who couldn't do much. A girl who looked about 16, grabbed me and was holding a knife above my head......
Then next thing I knew I was in my mom's bed crying, I sleep with my mom when I'm scared and today is my first reaping so I had every right to be scared. Heck who am I kidding I was terrified!
Your probably wondering what a reaping is, well let me explain.
See 74 years ago district 13 tried to rebel against the Capitol, so the Capitol bombed district 13 and they forced the remaining districts 1-12 to send one boy and one girl (ages 12-18) to compete in the Hunger Games.
The hunger games is a "game" were kids are forced to kill each other and there is only one winner (victor). Also there was a great world war years before the games started and after the war North America was the only part of the world left. So we were separated into 13 remaining districts, then there was the capitol where the president stayed and people who were worthy enough.
We thought that panem was the only part of the world left, but we were completely wrong!
