Preparing for the Reaping

Hey guys Kendall here and i just want to say a few things before i update. This chapter is dedicated to a certain person who has

commented on all of my posts and has been the one who made me want to update i felt that is she read it then my story was

good and people wanted to read it. So for that dedicate this chapter to @sierra_newwton10 thank you very much!!!!!!

So here i give you chapter 5!

After breakfast it was time to get ready for my first reaping, and after that talk with Katniss i have to admit i was feeling much

relaxed and calmed down. On my bed was a brand new dress, the dress was absolutely beautiful, no gorgeous, it was a light

pink and it came down right below my knees. It had a white lace bow on the side, matching ballet flats with bows on the ends

and a matching white lace bow for my hair. I saw a little note tucked inside one of the shoes that said

Dear Primrose,

I decided to get you a little gift for your very first reaping.

I will see you soon!!!

I was practically jumping with joy when Ginny said she would see me soon, i haven't seen my cousins in forever!!!!!!!!!!

The dress looked absolutely beautiful on me, I pulled the two front pieces of my hair back and clipped the bow in the back

and curled the rest of my hair. I skipped to the living room to find Katniss dressed in a pretty blue dress that used to be

mommy's, her hair was in a braided bun.

''You look beautiful Kat'' I whispered

''Not as pretty as you, little duck'' she replied

Suddenly the bell rang to tell everyone that the reaping would start in 20 minutes, I ran and gave Buttercup a kiss on the head and

gave mommy a big hug.

10 minutes later

We arrived at the reaping ten minutes early. I went in line for the younger kids to get my finger pricked, the lady just jabbed the needle

in my thumb without any warning, wincing in pain i bit my lip to try and help the pain. Glancing around for Katniss, i saw a girl with

long red hair standing next to mommy.

''Ginny'' i screamed

''Prim'' she screamed back mocking me

She gave me a big hug. There was some guy standing next to her that i have never seen before

''Ginny'' I whispered ''Whose that?''

She chuckled and relied

''This is my boyfriend, Dean Thomas''

''Nice to meet you'' i saw cheerfully

Katniss walks up and gives ginny a big hug

''How did you get in here without getting caught or in huge trouble!!!!!'' Kat whispers ''You could have got seriously hurt or even died!!''

''Oh, Kat'', Ginny says '' I am only 2 years younger than you and me and Dean snuck in here but we could not have done it without

the help of Gale and my mum doesn't know neither do my brothers''

Kat shakes deans hand ''Nice to meet you, i don't think we have met before have we we?''

"No" Dean says "I am Ginny's boyfriend"

''Well good luck in the reaping and i will see you guys after'' Ginny says

Katniss grabs my hand and as we pass Dean she whispers to him " If you hurt Ginny, I will make sure you highly regret it"

He gulps and shakes his head and me and Kat walk to our spots to wait for the much dreaded reaping to begin.
