Chapter 4

I woke up from a peaceful sleep. I turn my head and saw Kennedy sound asleep. Typical. She is always the last one to wake up. I slowly got out of bed very quietly. I knew that if I woke up Kennedy from her beauty sleep, she'd kill me. It's happened before. She Kenn-slapped me so hard that it left a bruise for days.

I managed to get out of bed without waking up Kennedy. I'M A NINJA. HOLLA AT ME.

I quickly run to the bathroom, brush my teeth, wash my face, and pull my hair into a messy bun. I quietly exit the room.

I didn't know what time it was, but it must be pretty early, considering that there was no sign of the sun. It looked like it was the middle of the night... Maybe it was.

I walked to the main house and opened the door. The hallway was silent, and I knew that because they're young boys, they're sleeping. I quietly walk past the hallway and enter the living room. There was a boy sitting on the couch watching tv.

I guess he heard me enter, because he turned around. "Hannah!" Louis smiled. "Wanna come watch?"

"Sure," I answered. I walked to the sofa and sat next to him. He wrapped his arm around me, and he spread the blanket over both of our legs.

"So, how'd you sleep?" Louis asked.

"Great!" I smiled. "How about you?"

"I had an nightmare last night."

"What was it about?" I asked.

"Well, I was running through a land made of candy. The trees were made of chocolate, the cars were made of gummies, and the people were gummy bears," Louis explained.

"That sounds pretty awesome to me," I said.

"Just wait," Louis leaned in closer to me. "Then an evil gummy bear, named Dr. Boominator, came to life and started chasing me. He was big! He was mean! And worst of all, he chased me down!"

I laughed.

"What?" Louis asked offended.

"You're like a little boy," I giggled.

"Just hold on, my nightmare isn't over yet!" Louis stated. "So I was the last person on earth to live. And all the gummy bears fed on humans!"

I gasped dramatically.

"I KNOW!" Louis responded to my dramatic gasp. "I did everything I could do to stay away from Dr. Boominator, but he was everywhere. He soon made all of the gummy bears in the world chase me! Finally, they trapped me. They brought me to Dr. Boominator's secret leir. They strapped me to a chair, and wouldn't let me leave. Then Dr. Boominator arrived. 'Hello, Louis,' he said. 'We need a DNA sample.' The gummy bear minions started walking towards me with a very large needle. They stuck it in my arm, but I didn't feel an ounce of pain. I looked at the needle that should be taking my blood, but the blood wasn't blood... It was hot fudge!"

Wow, this boy is seriously such a freak... At least he's a cute freak!

"Then the gummy bear minions took my hot fudge and started drinking it. They were little gummy bear vampires!" Louis exclaims. "And here's the worst part..."

I nodded and smiled to notify him to continue.

"You ready to hear this?" he asked.

"Yes," I answered.

"ARE YOU SURE!" He shouted.

"Yes!" I shouted back, getting impatient,

"Okay, well the worst part was... Then I died because I lost too much hot fudge!"
