Chapter 4

Jenna's POV:

On the car ride to Ross's house, I started to get antsy. I hadn't really thought this through. Sure Ross is offering me a place to stay for the time being, but I have never really been a "people person". I don't know how to act around people, let alone a bunch of strangers that I am about to live with. Wait, live? No. I can't live here. I will just stay a couple nights until I can figure out what to do about my money situation. There, my plan is set. I will stay a couple days and then get out of Ross's hair.

Ross looks over at me and smiles. "You okay?" He asks.

I force a smile. "Yeah. Just a bit nervous about meeting everyone."

"Oh don't worry about that. My family is very...welcoming." Ross replies.

I nod my head as we pull into a driveway. This must be it. Ross gets out of the car and runs over to the passenger side to open the door for me. I grin. "Why thank you sir."

"It's a pleasure, Madam." Ross jokes.

He's a cutie. I love how his dimples form when he smiles.

"Now, don't be scared Jenna. My family will love you. And I know they will be onboard with you staying with us." Ross says genuinely.

"Okay. Thanks again Ross."

"Like I said, the pleasure is all mine." He says. We maintain eye contact for a moment before we hear a voice.

"ROSS DID YOU GET A GIRLFRIEND?!" A guy voice shouts.

Here we go.

Ross blushes. "Ha. No Riker, this is my friend Jenna. She is in a tight situation right now and needs a place to stay. So I figured she could stay with us."

Riker is his name I guess. "Cool. So what I'm hearing is, she's single." Riker says and smirks at me.

I wasn't really sure what to do so I looked up at Ross, looking for him to answer for me. He looked tense. "Riker. You don't need to hit on every girl you see." He snaps.

I was slightly taken back. Ross almost sounded... jealous? No, he can't be.

"Jeez, okay bro. I was just kidding around. Calm down." Riker remarks. He then looks at me. "I'm Riker." He said.

"I figured." I laugh. "Nice to meet you."

"Alright Jenna, let's bring you in to meet the rest of the family." Ross says and takes my hand to guide me inside.

Rest of the family? Oh god... There's more? Okay, okay. I can do this.

Hellooooo! Yay I'm so excited for Jenna to meet the rest of the family. And tbh I am already loving how the characters are turning out. What do you think?
