I push throw the crowd of kids discussing battle tactics and make my way upstairs. I first stop by Lilly's room to check up on what she's doing.

"Duggy!!" She screams as she tackles me with a bear hug. She's pretty strong considering she's only eight.

"Hi Lilly" I reply after I do my usual greeting of tickling her, "where are Mom and Dad?"

"They went out scouting..." She instantly crossed her arms and put on a pouting face, "... and they didn't let me go,"

"Lilly, I know you're eager to do werewolf stuff but trust me, it's not all it's cut out to be"

"But I wanna be as good a werewolf as you,"

I smile at her and give her another hug, "Awwwe. Don't worry Lilly, you will be. You'll probably even be better than me,"

A huge grin creeps across her face and for an instant I see her eyes glow yellow.

"I've got to go now Lily, I need to do something. I will be in my room if you need me"

"Can we play monster hunting later?" She pleads.

"Sure" and once again her face lights up and her eyes glow yellow.

Once in my room I shut the door behind me and plop myself down on my bed. I take in a big sniff to try and pick up Lucas' scent but it's practically gone; and so I turn my head to the wall and stare at the area where Lucas made his portal. A deep sigh manages to escape from me, I feel lonely without him. Today did not go as I planned, I was really hoping he'd go out with me but from what he said it seems like that won't happen. For some reason I feel as though Lucas is in danger; but from what? The reverberative sound of thunder diverts my attention to the outside. Peeking through my window I see bolts of lightning as they erupt from voluminous dark clouds above.

Without a doubt this is Lucas' doing; which means he might be in trouble. I quickly jump out the window, shifting into my wolf form in mid-air. As I bolt through the heavy rain I swiftly dodge every rock, tree and log in my path, I can feel the forest ground tearing beneath my paws.

"Faster!" Shouts Titus, "Our mate could be in danger!"

Wasting no time by replying, I increase my speed and in a matter of minutes I am standing outside Lucas' house.

After changing back into my human form I take one great leap and land on the roof in front of a window from where I can pick up Lucas' scent. I peek inside and spot Lucas frozen in a chair with Emily standing behind him. I detect a hint of jealousy in me but quickly brush it off.

"Lucas! Lucas snap out of it!" She shouts at Lucas, giving him a hot slap on the cheeks.

Anger erupts inside of me and I almost barge into the room when I hear Lucas speak.

"What happened?" He questions Emily who points out the window in reply.

I think she is pointing at me but then realize it was the weather. I step away from the window as Lucas makes his way towards it. Using my high sense of hearing, I tune into the sounds coming from the room. I can pick up the sound of Lucas' heart as it beats calmly, the sound of his breathing tells me he is relaxed. After a few seconds of 'Silence' the once dark and treacherous weather is replaced with blue skies and the golden rays of sunshine. Once again Lucas leaves me dumbfounded. With the damp air now gone I can embrace the full smell of Lucas' strawberry-Vanilla scent, it tempts me to jump on top of him through the window, pinning him down as I shower him with kisses. I am distracted from my temptation by something Lucas is saying, "Okay Em, I'm going to try it. But I won't let him in that easily"
