One meets his destiny often in the road he takes to avoid it. - French Proverb
After months of training, Matt was tougher and bigger. Maybe not taller but definitely broader - his shoulders filled out his shirt; his arms had thickened with muscle.
He splashed his face with water as he got himself ready for another day of training and stared groggily at his reflection on the mirror.
'I really need to shave soon.' he thought.

"This one, wooh its heavy!" This is my coach, pretty dynamic and comic.
"Oh, that wasn't the one I was looking for," he said putting the Tomahawk axe back into its steel case.
"Here it is, I was looking for love in all the wrong places! Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to the Smith Wesson featherweight combat knife - used by the U.S. Law Enforcement including the S.W.A.T."
"- and here is a Colt AR-15... pretty much self explanatory."
"These," he said as he mounted the knife underneath the muzzle of the assault rifle,
"little beauties are meant to be together...." he grinned.
"FOREVER!" he whispered with such energy, I wasn't sure if he was whispering or emptying his lungs out.
"Now, round one. Try to focus forward jabbing techniques."
Five minutes have gone by and...
"Round two, reverse knife grip, edge out. I want fifty jabs!"
We were all frantically stabbing the piece of pork that hung in front of us. I was glad father wasn't a devout vegetarian.
"Fifteen more seconds, keep going! LET'S GO, LET'S GO!"
I would go on with the target practice and the gas chambre procedures but it's really all too redundant. Same shit, different day.

My first assignment: Kill someone dear to me.
I remember how shocked I was, not when I first got the assignment, but when I thought of my long lost father. How could I even think of commiting such atrocities?
I stare straight at Ivan with my chocolate brown eyes, not sure whether to show disbelief or confidence. I open my crisp lips to speak, but no words fall out. I let out a sigh instead.
He places his hand on my shoulder and says, "Think about it. What's revenge without pain?" then he walked off.

"I should be the very first and last person you kill."
These were my father's last words.
