Chapter 1: New Girl

I decided to skip dinner today. I told Tobias that I felt sick so was going to bed to sleep. When really I was in the caravan trying to figure out a way to get out of this place. I have been recording notes recently. Things which will make escaping a lot easier, for example I know all of the times patrol happens and which fence I am going to use to cut open. I was writing down some more detailed information when the door burst open. And in walks "Stormy" and "Moonshade" my fellow colleagues/ bait. I don't know their real names. Only the name Tobias has decided for them, like he does with everyone. I looked up to see another girl though. She must be new. I instantly feel sorry for her.
"Addy I want you to meet Crystal" Stormy introduced. I hated my name. Tobias said it was because I was the most precious jewel in all the family.
"It's nice to meet you" the shy red headed girl said. I could see her shaking from where I sat. I gave her a reassuring smile to show her she could trust me.
"Father said we have to give her a little makeover" Moonshade declared to me.
"Ill do it" I offered standing up
"But father...." I cut Stormy off.
"I'm doing it, now get out" I demanded. The girls couldn't fight with me as they knew I was Tobias favourite. He would always pick me over anyone. I hated his love for me. But I used it to my advantage when I could. The door shut leaving me and Addy alone.
"It's ok, I'm not going to hurt you" I said to her.
"My group are coming to save me, when they get here you are all dead" she said shaking her head
"I hope your right, no one deserves to be stuck here" I said sitting back down
"Your not like the others..,you seem normal" she said giving me a confusing look.
"I'm not, I hate them" I confessed
"Then why are you still here. You should escape" she said sitting down next to me
"It's not that easy. These people are clever. I will escape but I need to make sure my plan is perfect first" I explained to her
"When my group come, you can come with us if you like" Addy offered, giving me a smile
"I would like that" I responded

I explained to Addy that she had to play along for the time being. She had to make Tobias think she is happy. That's when he becomes weak. I got her dressed like me and the other girls. She hated it but it was essential. She had to fit in.

We was sat on my bed talking. Getting to know each other for hours. Then we heard the call "fresh meat". Addy looked at me confused. I told her to stay in the caravan. I walked out to see a man with dark brown hair stood the opposite side of the fence. I missed most of the conversation. Then I heard a name which I recognised.
"Please just give Addy back to us and we won't cause trouble" I looked up at him instantly. This must be her group. I ran into the caravan.
"Your group is here, quickly" I told her
She immediately jumped up and ran out of the caravan. She began to run towards the fence but Tobias grabbed her.
"Give me my Sunshine and you can have Addy" Tobias demanded. I shook my head no. She can't come back. The man said no but was quickly silenced by my sister walking down to the fence. Addy was pushed forward, showing that she can go. But then she stopped.
"I can't, not without crystal" she said looking back at me.
"Go, don't worry about me" I told her. It was her chance to get out. I wasn't going to prevent that. She came over and hugged me, quickly whispering in my ear. "We will come back for you" she gave me one last smile and walked off with her group. I single tear slipped from my eye. She was the only real friend I have had in a long while. I'm happy for her though. I was about to turn around and walk back to my caravan when I was stopped.
" crystal aren't you happy to see your sister" Tobias asked me. Play nice Hope. Lie. Fake. Just don't be honest
"Of course I am, it's nice to see you again Sunshine" I said giving her a fake smile. I continued back into my caravan. I collapsed on my bed and started crying. I must have fell asleep as I woke up to the sound of screaming.
