Chapter 5: Support

"He didn't make it" Warren told 10k. Everyone remained silent.
"Zombies" Addy said causing everyone look in the direction ready to fight. Including me this time.
"Oh god is that..." Mack said
"It's doc" addy admitted.
My eyes immediately went large due to shock. I reached up and held hands with 10k. He looked a little shocked at first. I was giving him a sense of support which he really needed right now.
"Someone's gotta.." Charlie started
"ill do it" warren said. As she approached doc. I hugged 10k so he didn't have to watch.
"Steven doc beck. I give you mercy" warren said. My eyes immediately shut when I heard the gun shot and I felt 10k tense against next to me.
"What the hell warren, are you trying to kill me?" We heard. Everyone's heads turned. Doc was alive.
"You alive" warren asked
"Damn straight I'm alive" doc replied. I looked up to see 10k smiling so I released my hold on him.
"Thanks" 10k said to me
"No problem" I replied. 

We all got in the truck ready to head to our next destination. It was getting a little dark now. Mack and addy was asleep together on one side of the truck and me and 10k was on the other. We was just sat in silence. It was peaceful. The wind hit me and I began to shiver. It was only now I noticed my outfit. I looked like a prostitute. I hated this. Short shorts and a little tank top. It was  safe to say I was freezing. Just then I felt somthing warm go over my shoulders. I looked down to see 10ks jumper.
"How did you know?" I asked
"You had goosebumps, can't have you getting ill can we" he replied.
"I need to get some more clothes, these aren't really me" I admitted
"I kinda like them" he joked
"Well they are not very zombie aplocolpse efficient" I told him.
"I guess so, we will find you something on our next stop" he stated to me.
"Thanks" I couldn't help but stare into his eyes. I have never met anyone like him before. He's different. I have never had a man be this kind to me before. And I was loving every moment of it.
