I am tired of this place, I hope people change
I need time to replace what I gave away
I rush through the crowd of people, bustling through London, trying to get back home. People are shoving me in different directions and it's getting on my nerves. I need to see my Phil.
And my hopes, they are high, I must keep them small
Though I try to resist I still want it all
The block of flats Phil and I live in comes into view. I can't wait to see him. I love him. I wish he loved me.
I see swimming pools and living rooms and aeroplanes
I see a little house on a hill and children's names
As I fumble for the keys in my pocket, I wonder what it would be like if Phil loved me back. What would happen in the future? Would we get married? Adopt children? Well I'll never know because he doesn't love me. Why would he?
I see quiet nights poured over ice and tanqueray
But everything is shattering and It's my mistake
I burst through the door knowing that I need to tell Phil how I feel. But something is wrong. I hear laughter. Running into the lounge, I see a guy holding Phil's hand and smiling.

"Oh, Dan you're back!" Phil says smiling at me.
I blink back my tears and say "uh.. yeah. I- I need to talk to you..." I whisper the last words.

"Okay, what is it?" Phil says, still smiling.
"Private.." I whisper flicking my eyes to the other boy that was rubbing patterns on Phil's hands.
Phil nods and kisses the other boy on the cheek. Ouch. That hurt my heart. A lot.

"Phil, do you... love him?"
Phil's eyes flash with something. Pain. But he smiles and says "yes, I guess I do."

A tear fell down my cheek. Phil wipes it away.
"Dan, are you okay?" He says.

"Phil are you coming?" The other boy calls
"Yes, I'll be right there! Dan what where you going to say?"
"It doesn't matter..." I sigh, I can tell how much he likes that boy.
"Um okay. Well I'll go back to Josh then.." sadness and pain flash through Phil's eyes as he looks at me one last time before heading back to his lover.
Why did Phil looks so sad? He got to be with the person he was in love with, not me. Not the person who loves Phil so much. Not Phil's best friend.
