There are power couples all around us. Michelle and Barack Obama are a power couple. Beyonce and Jay Z Carter are a power couple. Brad Pitt Angelina Jolie are a power couple. Will and Jada Smith are a power couple. And now Ryan Ross and Brendon Urie were a power couple. The power Couple. Because they had the best qualities of each of the power couples listed above.
Because of Ryan's status, they had the same power over the school that the Obamas had over the country. Because of Ryan's family they had the same power of money as the Carters. They had the same power of perfect looks just like Angelina and Brad. That one came naturally. And they had the same fame and notoriety around the school as the Smiths did in Hollywood.
It didn't take long for everyone around school to figure out they were dating. As soon as Brendon accepted the fact that he was gay, they were exclusive. The two were always holding hands and kissing around school. Brendon was even starting to look like Ryan. Not feature wise. More like fashion sense wise.
He'd gotten some of his hair shaved at the sides. His hair was always perfectly styled. He was getting regular manicures and pedicures. He was wearing shoes awfully similar to the ones Ryan always wore. Gone were his small town outfits. Now he was always dressed in designer's finest. Add that in with his new iPhone that match Ryan's, and he wasn't even the same person.
This switch of character took place in less than two weeks of him dating the infamous Mr. Ross. The obvious observation would be that Ryan was forcing Brendon to change, but that wasn't the case. Brendon liked the changes. He liked feeling like a somebody. Even his friends didn't mind. They just liked that they sometimes got to hang around Ryan's popular crowd.
Brendon was sure this was going to be the best time of his life. He was getting new things everyday and not paying for them. He was dating the hottest guy on campus. And he still had the most nerdy, smart and wonderful friends. It was the best of both worlds.
Of course there was a negative side. People loved Ryan. Like there were a bunch of people around campus who were literally in love with him. And when you're in love with someone, you don't like when they date other people. Ryan hadn't had an actual boyfriend since he'd started college.
Which made him fair game around the school. But now he was with Brendon. Now he was ignoring those 2:00am booty call texts and declining his various blowjob offers. For the first time in forever, Ryan Ross was off limits. But despite all the negative vibes coming from the jealous people, Ryan and Brendon were happy. They were the it couple that everyone wanted to be. And they didn't even have to fake it. It shouldn't be legal to be so perfect and so happy at the same time. Did he mention how humble they were?
**********"What are you wearing today?" Ryan mumbled sleepily into the phone as he searched through his closet for an outfit.
"Probably just those True Religion jeans you bought me yesterday and a Saint Laurent button up." Brendon's voice was more lively. He'd been up since six with Patrick.
"I'm going to copy that outfit." Ryan told him.
"Of course you are!"
"Do you have to work today?"
"Yes. From four to close"
"But there's a party tonight."
"You're going to just have to go without me, babe."
Patrick walked out of the bathroom with his toothbrush hanging from his mouth. He was wearing a pair of jeans and one of Brendon's new shirts. He paused when he saw Brendon standing in the middle of their room wearing nothing but a pair of boxers. He snatched the toothbrush from his mouth.
