Chapter 5

Alec's POV

"I, um, kinda sing, and I know enough guitar to play rhythm guitarist, but in all honesty, I'm not that great."
"YOU SING?!" All of my band were on their feet, staring Dean down. He looked like a deer caught in headlights.
"Not well, I just sing with my sister in the car, you know, sing along. Well, haha, pretty much scream along with the amount of screamo I listen to, but I am honestly not that great a singer, you guys have never heard me.". He realized what he just said and what we were planing to do. We all were soon dragging him to the sound proof room and recording studio. Even if we do a cover we can still get a better idea, this excites me. However he could be telling the truth that he isn't a good singer, but I bet that he is modest, a million dollars say he is being modest.

We set up some instruments and handed him a microphone and guitar.
"Okay guys what song shall we play and have Dean... be put to the test with?" I asked the band. All in sync they said 'Go Go Go' and kept chanting it. I turned to Dean and he nodded shyly in agreement, I gave him some sheet music that we had from before. We had practiced playing as soon as Sleeping with Sirens released it, we were hooked when we first heard it.

We all started to play and then I noticed Chris winked at me, she put it on record without letting the others know. I just smirk at her and then put all my attention towards Dean, in only a few moments we will know if our band will have a singer and rhythm guitarist.

"We always seem to find a way to fuck things up at the worst time, you know we've never been the smartest"

I was gobsmacked, his voice was incredible! I can't believe it! He can motherfucking sing!
I was just blown away from his beautiful voice. He kept singing but he seemed to get quieter. I made my way over to him and told him to close his eyes, he was clearly shaking with fear but obeyed.
Once they were shut I said
"You're in your room and only Alexa is there, she is listening to you because she is your number one fan. She is cheering you on with her stuff animals as the audience" you could hear him laugh while he continued, it seemed to have cheered him up, and he got more and more confident towards the end of the song. He was rocking out hardcore, dancing around with his guitar like Alex Gaskarth of All time low, he kinda of looks like him not gonna lie. (a/n there you go Dean looks similar to Alex but with jet black hair)

"There's plenty of time for us to finally get it right so why don't we crash and burn tonight?
Crash and burn tonight.
ummm so was it okay? I was kind of being an idiot with it near the end." he said with a smile.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! YOU ARE THE MISSING PUZZLE PIECE OH MY FUCKING GOD! PLEASE JOIN THE BAND!" Oli screamed out loud almost breaking his Violin out of excitement.

"Yeah dude we might be in a sound proof room, but doesn't mean you yell, making our perfectly good eardrums be destroyed. Calm down. However Dean, Oli's right, you do have great talents and I know a band member when I see them, so I most defiantly think you should join, listen to your girl Chris haha."

"Zak, what do you think of Dean?" I asked, cause it seemed everyone else wanted him to join.
"Hell yeah! We might actually have a shot at making it. Fuck yeah Dean can join!"
"Well, that leaves you Dean. Want to join the band?" I asked

"I, um, I'm truly honored but, surely there someone better. I'm just a nobody, I'm not that great, you could find someone way better. I mean I can hardly play and .."

"DEAN! Calm down it's okay, we think you are great and we want you in our band, don't think about anyone else out there and just answer Yes or No."

".... Yes"
"YAY!" we all cheered. This was a great start.

I went over to Chris and got the recording off of her and we just chilled and Dean began to come out of his shell and got to know a bit more about everyone, and they seem to really get along. Funny how they were completely comfortable to have him in the band, and hardly know the guy, also to think it's only his second day here, only the second day of me knowing him as well it's so ... mind blowing and I love it, I'm not gonna lie I am crushing on him, hard.
I know I hardly know him but I want to know him more, I want to know what he thinks, how he is so perfect and incredible and talented.

He is like a labyrinth one I want to explore to the core.

hehehe Like my reference silly_baby p.s to you readers this is my editor and she has 2 chapters of her own book and she is an amazing writer but she doesn't update but she is incredible LOVE YOU BABE

Okay enough of friendship love now. I have a dramatic well not really kind of chapter planed next so I'll cut this chapter 200 words short.
