Windsor's POV: Ed and I were in the girls locker room next to the bleachers when I heard an unmistakable voice coming from UNDER the bleachers. Ariana.
"There's no way they'll make it on the squad." I heard her say. And who was she telling all this too? The next voice wasn't as loud as hers. "Why are you doing this?" It was Michael. Doing what?! Was she trying to sabotage our routine so we wouldn't make it? I couldn't hear the rest of the conversation, and I didn't want to either. "It's go time!" I told Eden, who was putting her long blonde hair into a high ponytail. "What?" "I heard Ari tell Mark that she thinks we're not gonna make it on the squad!" "So?" She said as she placed a big bow on her pony tail. "So what if she's planning to sabotage our routine?!" "Why would she do that? We're her best friends?" I didn't usually get this worked up, but I just wanted to be popular, and Ari wanted to ruin that for me.
Justin's POV: Mike and I were sitting on the bleachers watching the cheer tryouts, when Windsor and Eden ran out. "Ladies and gentlemen." The coach said to the people watching. "On be half of our squad and the foot ball team, we would like to thank you for joining us for tryouts for our varsity football cheerleaders." We whistled and cheered, partly because we played football and partly because our girls were trying out. Windsor caught my eye and winked, and Eden gave me a nervous thumbs up. They looked really cute in their uniforms. They had made red t-shirts with their last names and the school name, and wore white "flowy" skirts, or whatever you call them. Our school colors are red and white by the way.
When their names were called I was really nervous. They went up to the front of the crowd and just stood their with their hands on their hips. I had a feeling their cheer would be lame. As thoughts of pity passed through my mind they were interrupted by loud music. As the song, whatever it was, started, Eden jumped up and flipped into the splits while Windsor raised her leg above her head. "Woah!" The crowd shouted. Some people even stood up and clapped along with the beat of the music. So far they were the only group who had used music for their routine. Smart. When the rap started, they started doing a dance. Left foot right foot, swerve. "Hey!" They said along with the rapper. Left arm right arm, splits. "Hey!" Now the crowd was singing along! They continued to flip and split, and jump and swerve until the song ended. And when it did, the crowd clapped an cheered really loud! The girls hugged and ran too the bleachers. They started to climb up to us and sat down on either side of us. I flashed Mike a smile, and he just smirked. "You guys were awesome!" He told Eden. She blushed, "Thanks!"
Ariana's POV: "Woah!" Mark said at the end of Eden and Windsor's routine. "Their amazing!" It was true. They were good, and they would probably make it on the squad. "Ehh they were okay." Mark just gave me a weird look. Whatever.
"Hey!" I heard a voice above me. It was Winds peeking through the bleachers down at us. "Uhm hi." Did she hear us talking? "Oh sorry did I interrupt something?" She giggled. "Uhm no." Mark said. "I was actually just leaving." "What?" I spat out. Sometimes my mouth just has a mind of its own. Mark half-hugged me and said "You need to chill. And maybe you should chill without me around for a while." He said as he walked out of the bleachers. "But." I was left alone. Why did I need to chill? Ed and Windsor were the ones who needed to chill. And now, thanks to them, my boyfriend hated me. Uhhhh
~So if you're wondering, no they haven't made it on the squad YET! Their membership will be announced next chapter! I really like how this chapter turned out! I like the conversations and the POV's, and everything just worked out for this chapter really well. As for the rap song, I don't really listen to rap so I just made up a song, so NO it's not an actual song so don't go guessing at what it may be. Cause I seriously have no idea! But anyway vote and comment what you think! Xoxo Kate~
