2- The Date

I stepped into the dark theatre and inhaled the delicious aroma of popcorn.

I saw him, casually standing against the ticket booth, his sandy blonde hair in its trademark 'swept across the forehead' style.

He saw me and nonchalantly raised a hand in greeting.

I walked over to him and said "Hey, how ya doing?"

"Alright" he replied, "Good, now I'm in the company of a gorgeous creature like yourself."

I blushed, looked away and quickly ordered the tickets, my face heating again when he firmly refused to let me pay.

We stepped into the dark screen room and sat down.

The film was amazing, really fast paced and thrilling and I loved every second. Every so often Sean would whisper funny comments in my ear, making me erupt in fits of hysterical giggles, receiving a few disapproving glances from surrounding people.

After the film, Sean insisted on driving me home, and seeing that the next bus home would be a half an hour wait, I gratefully accepted.

The car prickled with anticipation of the possibility of a goodnight kiss.

Well, it did on my side.

Finally he pulled up outside the bright yellow house I lived in with my mother and little brother.

"So. " I murmured.
"So. " he mimicked, before leaning down and placing a light kiss on my lips.

He pulled away and, waving, drove away, leaving me walking on air.
