I stood waist deep in the darkness that crawled up my back. While sickly warm light painted my face and upper body. My expression unwavering from slight disbelief. However, I said not a word.

"You heard me correctly. You will be continuing your studies Class 3-E tomorrow. Consider yourself lucky that I didn't expel you."

The only light in the room came in from a window behind the man. The light hit the back of his seat casting a shadow across his face and most of his desk. On the desk was a name plate that read Asano Gakuhō. The principal of Kunugigaoka Junior High School.

He pushed a envelope forward. On it was the my name; Yuuki Kara.

"You may now leave."

"Thank you for your kindness."

I bowed and began my retreat with the envelope in hand. My rose gold hair swayed softly behind me.

Time Skip

The pale moonlight shone through the light blue cuttings.

I blinked a few times letting my vision adjust to the dim room. I glanced over at the digital alarm clock on my bedside table. 4:43... It was too early to get up, but it was too late for me to fall back asleep.

Gradually I pulled myself out of bed and stumbled toward the desk on the opposite wall. The desk had metal legs and a glass top. On the desk was a simple laptop, little lamp, and a pen holder. In front of the desk was a wooden chair. And hanging on it was my school outfit.

I flicked on the bedroom light. Squinting, I grumbled and got dressed.

Tossing my head back I scanned my messy bed for a certain little monster. The plain white blankets with black outlines of little cats danced across the sheets and comforter. In the bottom of the bed was the round furry creature I had wanted.

I shuffled over and scooped the small beast up as it let out a low and soft mew in protest. The black cat pawed my shoulder and climbed up.

Gracefully I walked to the door with the cat still standing on my shoulders. Before I left I did a quick scan of the room.

Left to the door was the desk. Across from it was the unmade bed and nightstand. The adjacent wall had a maple wardrobe that matched the bed-frame and nightstand. In the center of the room was a round white carpet.

The walls were a light beige. The window in the hall was still open and a light breeze came through. A closet was down the hall, and turn the corner was the living room straight ahead. To the right was a short hall the led to the entrance and a bathroom.

"Woah..." The black cat leapt off my shoulders and walked through the living room into the kitchen. A few paces off I followed.

Time pasted and I got bored of waiting. I decide to spent the morning discovering my new classroom. The streets were still dark and the sun had yet to rise. The main building was no longer her destination and so I turned my gaze to the mountain that hid the new building.

My trek up the mountain path was without problem. The old school site was a very weather-worn, wooden, and beat down building. Carefully made my way through the building and learned its layout. The teachers lobby wasn't locked so I let herself in. Inside was a relatively handsome man. He was looking at something on a laptop. I could see from the doorway that it was an email and attached was my file.
