The sun was starting to draw closer to the edge of the earth. The light painted the earlier blue sky with oranges and pinks. The clouds closest to the sun were red. The forest and trail seemed to turn red along with the sky. Someone tapped my shoulder which drew my attention to a tall male. His mercury gold eyes and red hair resembled the sky's current mood.

"What's wrong Yuuki-chan? If you space out like that you'll trip." Ah yes Akabane, the class trickster. He teases everyone I suppose.

"Oh well." A snake dropped down in front of me and I swiftly side stepped it. Akabane seemed to find something amusing.

"Your interesting, you know that?"

I wonder what that was suppose to mean...

"Not really." The sun hit my face as I broke free from the tree line and I saw the many familiar Class A students leaving. Asano seemed not to be among them. Why did my chest feel funny looking at them?

"You don't talk much. Girl of a few words?"

Karma's Prospective

The short girl seemed constantly distant almost inhuman. It felt like her only expression was her poker face.

We boarded a train on the subway. She said nothing and vise versa.

"What's your stop?" She finally spoke up. Her green gaze was fixed on me.

"The one after this."

It was rare, but it appeared that she did have and showed emotions. Her eyebrows raised slightly and her tone sounded a little shocked.

"I guess we live near each other. That's my stop too."

We walked down her street that I also shared. She stopped as she came to a two story house. It seemed she lived just a few yards from me.

"This is my house..." She passed me a glaze but then shifted it towards the house again.

"Eh? This is your house? I pass by it all the time."

"If you want can come in." She already was unlocking the door. Looking over her shoulder she said, "I have a cat who doesn't care much for most men though."

A cat?

I shrugged and followed her in.

Inside I took my shoes off and left them on the tile flooring, past the tiles was wood. To the left was a open door which led to a bathroom. To the right was a small wooden cabinet. Next to the cabinet was a large pot with bamboo growing out of it.

Ahead at the end of the hall was a small table with red flowers on it. Above that table was a picture that had no way to describe it.

Two doorways stood across from each other. One led down another hall and the other when into a living room.

There was a black leather couch that was shaped like an L. It hung off from the wall and protruded into the rooms. Across from it was a TV on a stand. On the wall were shelves of books and games. A small coffee table had a few art magazine laying on it. The oak floor was mostly hidden by a square black and white checkered rug.

"Do you like Earl Grey tea?" The girl popped her head up from behind the counter that connected to an archway. I could tell from the cabinets and appliances that it was the kitchen.
