I jerked awake as my phone started blaring through the room. Seems I dozed off while thinking of L, I mean, Ryuzaki. I slowly got up and grabbed my phone, bringing it to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Ryuzaki wishes for you to report to his hotel room." It was Watari. But why would L need to see me at 11:35 in the evening?! Bastard probably didn't know the meaning of sleep.
"Alright. I'll be over I'm a few." I hung up the phone and put it in my pocket. I grabbed my jacket and an umbrella because it seemed to be raining and a page from the notebook. Just because I was going to the tower doesn't mean I can take a break from being Kira. It might make Ryuzaki suspicious.
After about an hour I was going through the scans to get into the tower. Once I was in, I saw L sitting at his main computer. "Hey Ryuzaki. What did you need me for?" I asked, trying to hide the drowsiness in my voice.
"It's a bit difficult to explain." He answered as he turned the chair around to face me.
"You see, I'm getting nowhere and I thought you could help." He tells me as he looks at me with those huge eyes of his.
"Ryuzaki, it's nearly midnight. I need sleep, you need sleep, let's just put it to rest till tomorrow." I told him, about to pass out then and there. He noticed and got up, putting his arm around me to hold me up.
"I understand Light. If you'd like, you can sleep in my room. It's completely Misa-free." He offered me. I was too tired to resist, so I accepted his offer.
He helped me up to his room and opened the door for me. He left the room and I stripped down to my boxers, because I had no other pajamas. I got into the bed and allowed myself to drift off to sleep.
