I stayed in the same booth for about two hours for two days waiting for him, each time getting blown off and forgotten by him, my texts being ignored.

I asked the waitress Reda that if she where to see him to inform him that I was waiting for him. I told her that twice, each day. And I suppose that the time the third day had commenced, I told Reda to tell Zachary, that I had a fun while hanging out with him.

And I'm sure my message was delivered.

Deciding that my short friendship was on life support I had realised that in my whole week of being in Ontario I hadn't gone into the City. So the morning after my last resort with Zach I planned to spend the whole day in the town. Still yearning for more inspiration.

I started by walking. The streets and noisy cars gave no ideas, but something caught my eye, there wasn't a crowded sidewalk to this city, there was a sense of happiness, and if you where to bump into somebody they'd apologize.

I guess Canadians are as nice as people make them out to be.

The park was no better, people where out with children, or their loved ones, I even saw a group of teens... And sitting alone made me feel very lonely.

I got a few groceries, heading home to start another boring day of staring out a stupid window desperately trying to see if it will give me any answers.

After I got home I decided that I would try to write only to open my door and find a dog rush to my feet, just a small golden retriever puppy that somehow ended up in my home.

Walking to the living room I saw Zachary laying on my couch, bolting up immediately when he saw me.

" Stacy! I got your message from Reda! And I don't want to waste another friendship! So I came to apologize and... I'm not really good at it so here's the dog! I call him Leo, what do you think? "

After I stood there dumbfounded for what seemed like hours while the ball of gold sniffed me I decided to get mad and swat Zachary on the head with my newspaper.

" You idiot! I was looking for you for three days and you show up with a fucking dog! This is some weird friendship dude! " I said clutching the paper.

His eyes lit up, " You're willing to call me your friend? "

" Well, duh. What do you think that whole bottle thing was? You're a very fun person Zach." I lightly sniled.

He sat and watched me type away as he walked back and fourth playing with the pup, falling to the floor making yet another distraction for me as Leo attacked his face with love. While Zach of course screamed begging me to take him away.

I picked up the dog and held him in my arms just like a baby, his big brown eyes piercing my soul.

" Zachary? " I asked.

" Yeah? " he shot up from the ground.

" This dog is my new child. "
