  Chapter Three

Tears and more tears. Couldn’t she stop crying her god forsaken eyes out? James sighed and ran a hand through his dark hair. They were in the middle of the hall and everyone was staring right at them, eyes glued. James couldn’t think if his day could get any worse.

“But I love you…” Oh, James loved that one. The most famous words to pop out of the girls he date’s mouth,  “I love you” or “don’t leave me.” It made him sick to his stomach, every single girl never satisfied him in the end and James was getting a bit tired of the routine. Asking a hot chick out, going out for a bit, having sex, then dump her when he got tired of her constant clinging to him.

“It was a onetime thing. We only did it once, can’t you get that through your head?” James was by now infuriated.

                “Your horrible!”

“Well so is your sex!” Woops, didn’t mean to let that slip.

The girl, Cammie, Cathy, Carlie, James didn’t really care, burst out her last set of tears and screeched, slapping him in the face, then ran down the hall towards the girls bathroom.

James hissed, rubbing his cheek. He turned the opposite direction and headed to the football field with his sports bag thrown loosely over his shoulder.

“Hey James!” One of the players called over. The padding on his shoulders made him look more bulky and the fabric clung to his sweaty body.

“Brent.” James waved his arm that was carrying his helmet.

Brent nodded his head then slicked back his wet hair with a deep breath. “Your late, coach is ganna kill you , you know.”

“It’s not my fault that Cathy kept crying all over me.”

                “That’s Cammie…”

“Whatever…” James dropped the subject by putting his helmet on and running towards the field and dealing with the coach before running some laps. As he ran he thought back to that dream he had. What kind of girl could turn him on so easily? If their was even one that could…

No, he couldn’t be thinking that. He was a star athlete at his school, popular, girls begged on their knees, there was no way he was…

                “Hey man, are you ok?”

James jumped slightly, entering out of his own thoughts, “Yeah…”

Brent scratched his chin and shrugged. “Man, you need to get laid.”

“I already did… and it sucked.”

Brent paused for a minute. “That bad huh? Well don’t worry, there’s always Janet on Thursday. I hear she’ll sleep with anyone.”

“Yeah… I guess.” God, why did he have to remember it now? Janet did ask him over with some others to do “homework”, but now he wasn’t sure if he was up to it. Did he want to deal with girls at the moment? Well if it meant his reputation being stable he was all for it.

“Hey, James. The guys and I are going to the down town area, wanna come?” Bret made a hand gesture that indicated that he was about to go.
