Chapter Nineteen.

I smelt the alchohol off my mate when he closed the door behind him immediately.

I turned over, not wanting to look at him, or give him any accentive, cause now we were in a house alone, all alone. Our house all alone.

He went into the bathroom immediately, and he shut that door to.

It is completely dark in the new room that I was unnacustomed to, and I was linking Kate and Kane.

'Are you sure you don't want me to tag along with you on the trip with Lance? You could use some help with whatever it is, it'd give your mate some reassurance.-Kane'

'I don't know, but I saw girls trying to go all over him.-Kate' I rolled my eyes.

'Sure. I'd like that, but I need you to know that under my terms you don't talk about what we will be doing to anyone. Goodnight, I'll talk to you tomorrow.'

'Of course there was, anyone would just love to jump on the alpha train. I got to go, he's back, and I need to go to sleep to be ready for tomorrow. Goodnight.'

The door opened and out walked Kale, and he came over to the bed, opened up the covers and laid down, covering himself back.

"I know you're awake." he said as I felt a movement.

"I never acted as if I was asleep." I said quietly and he turned over, pulling me to turn over and I saw his burning eyes, his wet black hair, the defined way his cheeks were scolpted, like he was a piece of art, but I ignored that, I took his hands off of me but he put them right back.

"We need to stop fighting. Why do you want this wolf out so much, you know that he's a criminal and yet you still want him, and you hiding things from me, that isn't going to work out well." he said and I nodded.

"But you barely know me, you don't know how I -"

"I'm your mate, we know each other better than anyone else. We connect, we bond, we mould, we mate, we love, we charish, and yet here we are, spending time to fight. "I sighed and I looked to him.

"Fine, we can try not to fight, but I'm not giving up on Marius." I said lightly and he crashed his lips to mine. "We'll see." he said and I nodded in agreement as he got on top of me, putting his tongue in my mouth and making out.

The next to weeks were what kept me in content. Closer and closer the day I would find out who and why someone would send me letters and foolish darts my way.

Then the day came.

I was outside, and Lance was carrying our small change of clothes in a duffel bag, Kane was was trying to comfort Lilly who was sitting crying about him not leaving and just staying with her.

"Do you have all the papers, the adress, everything?" Jack asked as he looked around and saw me packing away a few things into a bag that we would carry on our journey. Kale stared at me, clearly angry and stressed out.

"You could just stay here, I could have some of my men do whatever it is you want." Kale said as he came up to me, grabbing my hands and making me stop my movement, and I looked to him with a small smile.

"This is something I need to do myself. I need to find out myself, and sending your pack men would be useless, they wouldn't want to go, it'd be worthless to them and they wouldn't find out anything because they don't know the questions to ask or what the topic is about which is disclosed." I said and he brought me closer, pulling me in for a kiss, and he slid his hands on the back of my hips, and I put my hands on the back of his neck because he had to bend down to kiss me.
