Stephanie's POV

After Amy's dance practice I wait until all the students leave to come back out. Amy smiles and wraps her arm around me.

"I really wish you'd reconsider this hiding, Steph, you're an amazing singer!! You could be famous!" She says sincerely. I sigh at her insistence. It's not that I don't believe in myself enough or that I'm afraid I won't make it. It all boils down to the fact that when my mom died, a part of me died too. I don't want to become famous anymore, because it all seems so pointless without my mom at my side.

"Ames, I love you, I do, but I really don't want to go through this conversation again. Let's just go, please," I begged. She reluctantly agreed, and we got into my car and headed towards Amy's house.

For as long as I can remember I've gone to Amy's house after school. The Jamesons are my second family, and being in their house is 10 times better than being in my house with Carrie and Stacy. Of course, now that Amy's brothers were all in college things were much quieter,albeit with Haley's occasional chaos.

The oldest brother is Andrew who is in his second year of medicine school. Next came the twins, Hale and Hayden. They are juniors in college, both going for a bachelor's degree in engineering. The youngest brother is Jake. He's a freshman in college, and I've had a crush on him since the sixth grade. In reality, everyone from the Jameson clan was gorgeous and had good athletic genes. The boys all played football, Amy had dance, and even little Haley was starting ballet. They all had shiny and wavy black hair, and dark eyes that had a greenish hue that made them look exotic. They'd gotten me through the toughest times of my life, and I loved each and every one of them.

When we reached the house, Amy put her key in the door when suddenly it was flung open and all four brothers were there grinning at us.

"Oh My God!!" Amy screamed as she flung herself at them. "What are you guys doing here?" The boys all laughed and took turns hugging her and me.

"Hiya sis!" Andrew said while laughing. "We all had an early spring break and decided to come home early and suprise you guys."

Amy and I laughed in delight, and we all came together to the living room with Mr. and Mrs. Jameson and a sleeping Haley.

"So," Hale asked once we were all situated. "What's new with you guys?"

I looked at Amy, silently telling her to tell her brothers about Noah. She looked at me with fear, but silently nodded and told her brothers the story while they sat quietly with stony faces. When she finished they all remained creepily silent until Jake finally broke the silence.

"Who the hell does he think he is?!" He yelled. All the brothers yelled in agreement and started planning how to make him pay.

"WOAH!" Amy screamed at them. "Guys, seriously, I love you but no. I get that you want to avenge what happened, but I want to do this on my own. Am I understood?" She looked at each of them in the eye, as they looked at each other and finally nodded to say they understood.

"But you have to tell us what you're doing so we know if it's enough," Hayden with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes that promised all kinds of trouble. Amy laughed evilly with the same twinkle in her eye.

"Well, " She began. "My plan is to hit Noah where he hurt me: his reputation. As you know, Noah asked for another partner. So, I'll just email Ms. Stanton and tell her I'll be more than happy to take Aaron as my partner, and give Kara to Noah. Kara is a ditzy, mean blonde who can't dance to save her life. Noah will be happy that he gets a girl who'll be his type, but then his showcase piece will be the worst. It's perfect, because he doesn't know how bad Kara is, and once he realizes, Ms. Stanton won't let him change partners again."
