Chapter 2

Brianna's POV

I got my answer a few days later. I overheard some guys talking about some homeless girl being tied to Antwan and Man Man. I knew they could only be talking about me so i listened closely. " I heard Twan was looking for the little bitch cause he wants to add her to their team". the man snarled. By the way he was talking i already knew he didn't like me and i honestly didn't like him either. I wonder why they wanted me to be on their team i didn't have shit and i couldn't do shit. My mother might've been right about me a nobody. I never knew my dad so he must have known i wasn't going anywhere either. I continued listening for about 5 more minutes to see if they'd say anything else about me but they never did so i went to my customary position at sunny's. I sat in the back corner near the kitchen so i could listen to the workers talk, it was quite interesting. Antwan came in the restaurant and scanned the whole place until his eyes landed on me. I hurriedly looked away because i had heard stories about staring at him for to long or the wrong way so just to be on the safe side i looked away. He strode over to me calmly and acted as if it were normal to be associating with me as if we were friends or something. He sat down and picked up a menu while casually sliding another jacket similar to the last over to me. " what's this" i asked skeptically. " The man by the window in the suit owes me a lot of money when he gets up he leaves his coat everyday i need u to switch the coats and bring the other one back to me." he spoke simply. He pulled out a roll of cash and slipped about $500 across the table this time. " With this i want you to check yourself into a hotel for a few days while i work something's out." he said " why are you doing this ? helping me i mean why are you helping me all for nothing?" i asked him shocked. " we're gonna be getting real acquainted soon enough so you can help me a lot more. you'll get paid more as you do bigger jobs of course" he said then abruptly stood up and left. " He didn't even let me answer what if i didn't wanna do it. He ust assumed i was going to agree. I seen the man he was talking about get up and leave his coat. I walked over and pretended to fall puling the coat on the floor i then switched the coats and walked out the diner. Well that wasn't so bad. I walked over to the Ramanda and got me a single room for a week. After getting checked in i walked to the nearby walmart and got me some groceries. With the remaining $100 i got soap and hair products. It was about 7 pm when a knock on my hotel door stopped my cooking. I opened the door to see Antwan and The notorious Man Man. " um Antwan ... how did you know i was here ?" i asked scared maybe i didn't do something right and they're here to kill me. " Man Man knows everything." he said simply before walking inside the hotel. The whole time me and Antwan talked Man Man didn't say anything just kept oddly staring at me like he knew me .
