The seven years old Kim Jong in put down his pen and was about to leave his room, when the tense voice of his dad stopped him in the door frame.
"How can you think like that?" His Umma, Kim Jong Dae, was obviously sobbing, and he rushed to peak at his parents. "I..."
"You made me think this way, Dae. It is almost impossible for me to remember myself getting just a moment from your precious time lately. You are always either busy with your book, or with Jong in. What about me? I'm forgotten." Park Chanyeol said sternly before bitterly chuckling. "I am surprised still that you remember making me dinner. I always think that if I go home, I will find you too busy to make me food, like you are too busy to just kiss me good bye, or even touch my hand..." The man was shaking slightly, but as his hand smothered his messy hair, his fingers shook terribly.
Jong Dae noticed so but couldn't do much as his feelings were overwhelming. "Chan..." His voice broke as he tried to hold on Chanyeol sleeve. He couldn't believe that he made Chanyeol go, it just didn't want to get in his brain.
"No! Let me finish." Raising his both arms, Chanyeol said with calm voice, yet bitterness and pain were clear. "I am not blaming you for spending time with Jongin and the book, I am just making you realize that you don't need me... you have everything you need, Dae. I am just a surplus, so I will leave." Jong In stepped closer, shocked by his father's words, and noticed the suitcase. "Don't hold me back, Dae. I am tired of waiting for affection..."
Chanyeol pulled the suitcase to the front door while Dae who was sitting there in shock stood with a frown. "Who is he? Who is this person you are going to?" Chanyeol didn't reply. "Don't bullshit me, Chanyeol. I am sure someone is taking you away from me..."
Wincing under the other's obliviousness, Chanyeol chuckled dripping pain. "As expected, you don't see yourself wrong... you don't see how much I needed you but didn't find you, you don't see this part." Chanyeol said sobbing all of sudden. "For you, I am just a man who go to someone else's arms, isn't it?" Jong Dae's brain froze, as he shook his head, unable to react. "Can you not hurt me at least this time? Can you stop making me feel unloved?"
"Unloved?" More tears followed, and Jong Dae tried to step closer to Chanyeol who stepped away. "But, I love you, Chanyeol. I love you so much..."
"It doesn't seem like it, Dae..." Chanyeol said drying his tears. "Let me go, and change air. Maybe we need this break... maybe I need it. So let me go."
Jongin didn't understand more than the fact that his father was leaving because of him. So, he sobbed running to Chanyeol's and held his leg. "Appa! Don't go! Don't leave me!" Chanyeol patted on the head of his seven years old son.
"Don't worry, Jongin. I won't leave you." Chanyeol said making Jongin looking up. "I am just going in a small trip, because of work and I will come back."
Jongin wanted to say that he know his father was lying but couldn't. He was pushed away before noticing Chanyeol walking out, his suitcase softly lifted. The kid sobbed calling for his father while Jong Dae sat there, shocked, broken, and unable to think of anything.
Few moments after, as Jong Dae managed to gain some self-control, he took his son who slept sobbing in the front door to his bed, before cleaning the house. He always goes for a massive cleaning when he needs to clear his mind. However, he didn't know what to think of no matter how harsh he swept the floor, and how neatly everything already was.
The next day, Jongin woke up to find Jong Dae sleeping next to him. "Umma?" Jong Dae opened his eyes and glanced over the clock.
"We are running late. Let's hurry, I'll buy you food." Jong In rushed to his uniform, brushed his teeth, and dressed his hair nicely enough before following Jong Dae to the car. They stopped at a coffee shop. Jong Dae got in first while Jong In was trying hard to fix his uniform when huge familiar hands helped him out. He looked up but before he could call the name of the person, that said person rested a soft finger in his lips and left. Jongin observed as his dad rushed out with a paper cup in his hand and small black suitcase. He noticed that his Umma didn't notice it at all and sighed sadly.
Reaching the school, he went to his classroom feeling upset and gloomy so he didn't speak the whole morning classes. Even if the teacher nicely tried to make him speak he didn't say a word. At the lunch time, Jong in ran to his friend from second year.
"Kyungsoo hyung! Kyungsoo hyung!" Jongin rushed to his friend who was standing with his classmate before sobbing.
"Hey, why are you crying? Did someone hurt you?" Jong in shook his head.
"Appa and Umma got into a fight because of me. Appa said that Umma don't care of him more than me so he is not needed and he left the house" Jong in sobbed while Kyungsoo patted on his back. "What should I do hyung? Please help me."
Kyungsoo sighed patting on his back. "Don't cry Jonginnie. We will find a way, just don't cry."
