I arrive at Einsteins Bros Bakery 10 minutes late because of morning sickness and Wen is already there, "Hey." I greet.

"Hey." He gives me a smile wave. He seems stressed and distracted, I could tell by the way his knuckles were turning whites when he held the coffee cup.

I sit down in the booth across from him, "So, elephant in the room, why are you back in Oregon." I ask immediately. Alex knew I was at the coffee shop with a friend, but he didn't know which friend. Alex knows about my past, and he's not very fond of Wen

"I want you back," He pleads bluntly.

I give him a are-you-serious face, "What the fuck Wen? You just expect me to be like, 'omg yes of course I will be with you forever, I love you' and shit. Like, Wen what the fuck is your problem." I quickly get up to leave, but he grabs my hand.

"Wait, I'm sorry. Just... sit down." He gestures. I hesitate, but sit anyways, "Carly my life's been a mess without you, and-

"Wen save your bullshit for the next chick, I'm not just going to fall back into your arms. I have a life now, okay? Do you think that after you left that life paused over here. Things have changed. I've changed. I have a husband Wen, and I love him!" I rant.

If he wasn't mad before, he's definitely pissed now. His eyebrows were creased and his fist were clenched. He looked like he wanted to punch something, or someone, "You're married?" He say in a low voice.

"Really Wen? That all you got from my fuc-"

"You're married?" He says again in the same monotone voice.

"Y-yes, I'm married."

"Okay, well, sorry for wasting your time." He get up and leaves.

Just like that. He was gone again.
