"It's Not Just Alone, But Darling," Paul's sweet voice lingered in the air. "No, that's not it…" He sighed and began to cross the lyric off the paper.
"What are you worrying about Paulie?" John asked as he gently put his arm on Paul's shoulder and looked at the paper with scribbles around it.
"I want to write a song, John…" Paul sighed and took a deep breathe. He turned his head to John and smile. "It's not you, love," he added his voice feeling tense from the music writing.
"Oh, thank god," John said looking down at the paper still. "Want me to help?" he added and quickly grabbed the sheet of paper.
"Sure, why not John, love," Paul said turning his body facing John. "But it's a love song," Paul added feeling the awkward silence in the room.
"Who's it about?" John asked playfully winking in Paul's direction.
"Linda?" Paul questioned himself as he noticed George walked into the room. "George? Mind if you help me with a small tune?" Paul asked as he looked up at George.
"Ah, sure!" George said feeling excited with a new task at his hands.
"Thanks!" Paul said feeling relief in the air. He quickly grabbed the Bass and began to drop notes. "How does that sound?" Paul added with a smirk on his face.
"It sounds great, but love? What are you looking for?" John questioned and stared at the perfectly white Bass in Paul's hands.
"I don't even know anymore… I wanted to write a song called 'Oh! Darling'… but-"Paul's voice cracked as he looked down at the floor. He gently placed the Bass down and got up. "It's not gonna work…" he added with his voice filled with doubt.
"How do you even know?" John questioned as he walked up to Paul's Bass. He gently strummed the notes aside and stared at the strings.
"John, its just cause-"Paul tried to say.
"Just cause of wait Paul?" John said staring at the floor now.
"Let me finish John. Anyway I don't know." Paul said feeling doubtful again.
"Then give it a shot!" John added with a smile.
