Part 2

Gracie

It's been a few weeks since school started, and now it's finally Friday. Dad is out and since I'm an only child, I decide to have a little music fest of my own. I've been secretly teaching myself how to play the guitar since I knew dad would make a big deal about it. I sneak into dad's room and take his guitar off it's stand. When I get back to my room, I sit on my bed crossed legged with the guitar in my lap. After I tune it, I play the very familiar chords.

"Hello there, the angel from my nightmare. Shadow in the background morgue the unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley. We can live like Jack and Sally, if we want. Where you can always find me. And we'll have Halloween on Christmas and in the night we'll wish this never ends. We'll with this never ends." I do a small guitar solo.

"Where are you? And I'm so sorry. I cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight. I need somebody and always, this sick strange darkness comes creeping on so haunting every time. And as I stared I counted the webs from all the spiders, catching things and eating their insides. Like indecision to call you and hear your voice of treason. Will you come home and stop this pain tonight? Stop this pain tonight. Don't waste your time on me you're already, the voice inside my head. I miss you, I miss you. Don't waste your time on me you're already, the voice inside my head. I miss you, I miss you. Don't waste your time on me you're already, the voice inside my head. I miss you, I miss you." I do another guitar solo.

"Don't waste your time on me you're already, the voice inside my head. I miss you, I miss you. Don't waste your time on me you're already, the voice inside my head. I miss you, I miss you. Don't waste your time on me you're already, the voice inside my head. I miss you, I miss you." I finish the song.

"That was amazing. Where'd you learn to play like that?" A voice comes from behind me.

"When did you get here??" I turn around to see Uncle Calum standing there.

"Just got here. Your dad is going to be out of town so I was asked to bring you to my house to spend the night with Mia." He tells me.

"Oh, how long is he going to be gone?" I ask him.

"He'll be back tomorrow morning." He tells me.

After I get the things I'll need for tonight, I follow Uncle Calum out to his car.

"So, are we not going to talk about you playing guitar?" He glances over at me while he's driving.

"Nope." I shake my head.

"Why not? You're amazing. Can you at least tell me who taught you?" He turns down a road.

"I taught myself." I shrug.

"Really?" He sounds shocked.

"Yeah." I nod.

"That's awesome." He turns onto his road.

"Mia is probably in her room if you want to go up." He tells me when we get out of the car.

"Thanks Uncle Cal." I smile and go up the stairs to Mia's room.

"Mia?" I knock on her door.

"Come in." She calls. When I open the door, I see her sitting on her bed on her laptop.

"What are you doing?" I jump onto her bed next to her.

"Doing something for school." She keeps typing.

"But that's boring." I wine.

"Than what do you want to do?" She looks over at me.

"I don't know." I shrug.

"Call Tris and tell him to get Matt and we'll all go out." She hands me her phone.

"Okay." I unlock it and dial Tristan's number.

"What do you want you fruit?" He answers on the third ring and Mia tells me to put him on speaker phone.

"Get Matt and come to  my house. We're all going out to play laser tag." She tells him.

"Alright. Give me like twenty-five minutes." He hangs up.

"Looks like I have twenty-five minutes to get dressed." She shuts her laptop and gets off her bed. After she gets cloths out, she walk out of her room, to the bathroom probably.

Later

"What's the teams?" Matt asks. Right now, we're at the arcade setting up fro laser tag.

"Girls against boys. Like always." Tris says.

"We're blue!" Mia calls.

"I guess we're red than." Matt walks over to the red side.

"Here." Mia hands me a blue vest thingy and a gun. Once we've started, me and Mia separate while Matt and Tris stay together.
