Chapter 5

~London~

"All good?" Bane asks as we enter the cafe, and slide into the booth.

"Yep!" I chirp and smile at Connor. His face beams with happiness. A waitress came up to us, and stared lustfully at Connor. I glared at her, but she was oblivious to my actions.

"Hi there! I'm Clarissa, welcome to Bea's. What can I get yall?" The girl asked. My wolf calmed down when she realized I was with him. I looked at the menu, and my mouth watered.

"I'll have the chocolate and caramel freeze with extra whip cream. Oh! And sprinkles." I smiled at my childish actions. Bane and Connor chuckled.

"Alright, anything to eat?" Clarissa asked.

"3 double chocolate cookies please." I handed her my menu.

"Alright, how about you boys?" Clarissa tucked the menu under her arm, and brought the ball point pen back to the paper.

"I'll have the lunch special, and a Mt. Dew." My nose crinkled at Bane's order.

"And I'll have the lunch special with a Pepsi please." Connor said and they both handed the waitress our menus. She walked away and turned to Bane.

"That's gross." I complained.

"What's gross?"

"Mt. Dew." My face was twisted with disgust, and he laughed.

"No, I don't think so."

Clarissa came by with our drinks, and I greedily took my yummy goodness into my mouth.

"So, how do you two know each other anyway?" Connor interupted my heavenly session. I stared wide eyed at Bane. He looked uncomfortable.

"Well, come on. Spit it out." Con demanded. I looked down at my coffee drink, and made my hair go slightly in my face. I felt his burning gaze in the side of my head.

"Connor, just leave it alone. We don't need to talk about it now." Bane attempted at calming my mate down, but I don't think it was working.

"Tell. Me. NOW!"

"We're engaged." I whispered. I heard clacking of heels agains the ground and looked up to see that our food was being put in front of us.

"Enjoy!" She said happily and walked away. Nobody moved. We all just stared at our food. I picked up my cookie and set it in my mouth.

"Connor, it's not what you think I promise." I coaxed. He shook his head.

"You're engaged to my brother." He muttered.

"I'm being forced to!" I almost yelled. People started to look at us. I sighed and set down my cookie.

"My father wants to join our packs by marrying Bane and I. I have no choice. Neither does Bane. We both don't want this, but we're going to endure it because we're friends. But then you came along, and I don't know what to do anymore. If my dad finds out about you being a rogue, then I'm doomed. Do you understand that? You'll be good as dead. Then, he'll never let me leave the pack territory without watch." He pulled me close, and breathed in my scent.

"It's okay, nothing will happen. I promise. We can keep this a secret." He kissed my forehead and I laid into him.

Bane was waiting in the car, while Connor and I said goodbye.

"Hey, hey London. Don't cry." He took his thumb and wiped the tears from my eyes. I smiled at his love.

"I'll see you tomorrow. I promise." I nodded and hugged him.

I slid into Bane's Range Rover, and turned down the window. Summer was rolling in, and I only had a week left of school.

"Clarissa is my mate." Bane gripped the stearing wheel tight. I looked at him, a wide grin spread across my face.

"Really? That's great Bane!" My congradulation didn't go far. He shook his head.

"She's human."

"Oh." I whispered.

"Yea, and she was staring at my brother! My brother for crying out loud!" I jumped as his voice rattled the car. He huffed and breathed heavily.

The car ride was silent until we got home. Waverly ran out of my house with a look of happiness and I hugged her.

"What?" I laugh.

"Courtney and I have the best thing for your-" She looked around. I furrowed my eye brows. She grabbed my arm, and with me in tow, walked to the big tree in my front yard. "mate." She finished her sentence. Chills ran through my body at the sound of Connor.

"What?" Bane had a smirk on his face.

"We got a club house outside the territory. Bane's parents built it a long time ago. It's huge. We could all stay the night there and stuff. And Connor can stay there. We all went shopping while you were with Bane and Connor. It's full of stuff." Waverly informed me. I squealed and hugged everyone.

"I love you all sooooo much it!!!" I squealed.

"We know." Waverly's sing songy voice was hilarious, and we all started laughing.

"Lets just go inside." I laughed.

*PING*

I jolted awake from my light sleep. I snatched my phone from the bedside table, unlocked it, and read the text.

[Morning beautiful. What time do you get done with work? -Con] A smile rose to my lips as I typed in my answer.

{Morning! :) I get off at 7pm.} While waiting for Connor to text me back, I go through my closet and pick out a pair of Jean shorts, a white camisole and a navy blue blouse with white polka dots. I entered my bathroom and turned on the shower, letting the temperature warm.

Going in, I scrubbed my hair with Dove's Men's new hair clense. I know it's weird, but I love the smell and how it makes my hair feel clean. Then, I put in Head and Shoulders conditioner, and also scrubbed my body clean.

I got out of the shower, and wrapped the towel tightly around my body. I walked out and slipped on some pink panties and a matching bra.

I checked my phone to see that Connor left me another text message.

[I'll pick you up then. Have fun in school :)] I laughed lightly.

{Alright. Byee! :)} I replied back.

Making my way downstairs, my mom was busy making breakfast. Logan, Lance, and Laylee were all seated around the table.

"Hi mom." I kissed her cheek. "Where's dad?" I questioned her as I sat down.

"He had some business to attend to." I nodded sullenly. I wanted my dad to take me to school this morning.

"So I was thinking of telling our parents that we're going on a trip after school ends, and we can stay a couple Weeks at the clubhouse. Everyone can come." Waverly babbled on about the club house.

"Sounds fun."

That's it! Sorry it took me so long! I had a track meet Tuesday, my sister wouldn't let me use her Galaxy Player yesterday, and I've been too busy at school to write very much.

My Galaxy Player had a break down, and it's not working. So we have to take it back. Good thing for Warrantee! Okay, tell me what you think! :)
