After 5 hours of learning about the side effects of depression illnesses, the teacher finally dismissed the small class of about 30 people. This wasn't even my regular class anyway. I was visiting the satellite campus since I was in London for the break. I had a choice to just chill over the vacation, but I couldn't stray from my studies. My family was and still is very strict about my grades. If one grade drops, then boom, I'm back home. Studying in a foreign country is very expensive, but I like big cities and I've very taken with European countries. I like the regal culture and rich history that young America has yet to offer.

Anyway, I walked home in the snow that freezing afternoon. Just avoiding wet puddles melted ice, and occasionally slipping due to my clumsy nature. I went like that for the 2 hour walk all the way back to Carissa's flat. She was at a yoga class so I felt strangely lonely in the small apartment. I took out my iPhone, checking my instagram, twitter, and tumblr, where my notifications were all blank as usual. I wasn't the most social person. Unless I was in a good mood or drunk, I wouldn't start any conversations.

After scrolling through the feeds for a few minutes, I went to my messages. I scrolled down to the conversation with Harry, the goodnight text sitting there, staring me in the face.

What should I text... I don't know if he likes me so should I flirt or... I don't even know.

Sighing I sat back in the synthetic leather couch, staring at the light fixture.

Eventually I settled for just sending a simple "You wanna do something tonight?"

Almost instantly, I got a response, "That sounds great. I know a new nightclub 10 blocks from here if you're up to it."

I hesitated, fearing it might not be safe. Ah what the hell.

"Sure"

I went into my room, opening my closet. Then I reached toward the back to pull out my black clothes trunk, lifting it onto my bed.

After shuffling through all of the casual clothes I brought from my dorm, I finally settled on a tight fitting coral lace dress. I slipped it on, the fabric tight like a second skin. I put on gold drop earrings with a matching necklace, slipping into my basket weave wedges. Sitting down at the vanity, I put my usual nightlife makeup on, smokey eyes and lipgloss. Then as a final touch I added sprayed some perfume all over, leaving my hair in its naturally curly state.

As soon as I got down the stairs, the flat buzzer went off. I opened the door, face to face with a familiar grinning face that soon changed into a look of astonishment as he took my appearance down, scanning me from head to toe. I felt kind of uncomfortable, the dress suddenly feeling warm in the cold breeze coming through the door.

"Well someone looks good tonight," he said with that damned smirk on his face again.

I nervously laughed before reaching for my jacket on the coat rack next to me.

"If you say so, but I much prefer you without the jacket," he said with a raspy voice in my ear.

I turned to look at him, his face inches from mine.
