Hiro bounced his leg up and down anxiously. You should have been at the beach about half an hour ago, where you and they Hamada family agreed to meet.
Hiro blew an exasperated sigh through his nose as Tadashi looked over at him, holding a bottle of sunscreen. Both boys were already in their swimshorts and Aunt Cass dropped the boys off near a quieter spot rather than the center, where there was a total zoo of half-naked people.
Their guardian had disappeared to park her truck in a shady spot, while the boys were left alone to prepare themselves.
And wait for you.
Tadashi smirked at his younger brother as he popped the cap off of the bottle. "What's with the bouncing, little bro?"
Hiro frowned and sat on the tanning bed. A big umbrella gave off cool shade as he lay down. "(Y/n) should have been here by now." he whined. "It's not like her to be late."
Tadashi's heart rate picked up a little at the mention of your name, but he continued to spread sunscreen over his strong arms. "So? She'll be here when she'll be here."
Just at that moment, the boys heard a honk.
They whipped their heads around to see a (f/c) car pull up to the parking lot not too far from their spot. Someone rolled down the window from the driver's seat and waved to them.
Hiro jumped up. "(Y/n)!" With that, he ran towards your parked car.
Tadashi watched his brother run towards you. You came out of your car with a summer bag slung over your shoulder. Your (h/c) hair whipped around your face as you slipped on your fashion designer sunglasses.
Tadashi's heart did a little tap dance once he saw you come around the car to hug Hiro. You were wearing a T-shirt and denim shorts, but he almost could picture what was underneath.
Tadashi gasped. 'NOT TOO UNDERNEATH, BONEHEAD!' he reprimanded himself quietly, but once the thought had come, it couldn't be erased.
Hiro hooked an arm around your waist and you slung your unpreoccupied arm over his small shoulders and you both walked over to Tadashi, who, needless to say, was still putting on sunscreen.
You waved a little crazily at him and he waved back.
"'Dashi!" You exclaimed once you reached your best friend since kindergraten.
"Hey (Y/n)!" Tadashi smiled at you. "So, you're late."
You smacked your hand against your forehead as you set your bag down on the tannging chair. "I know, I know! Cass called me to see if everything was okay, but I had a little accident this morning."
"What accident?" Hiro inquired curiously.
You blushed as you laughed sheepishly. "My roommate gave birth this early morning and I, uh, how do I put this? I sorta helped her."
Tadashi and Hiro started to laugh while clutching their sides. Tadashi accidentaly squeezed the bottle of sunscreen and it sprayed all over Hiro's face.
While laughing. With his mouth open. Sticking his tongue out.
Cue more laughter and a coughing and sputtering Hiro.
"Dude!" Hiro spit out saliva and sunscreen mixed while trying to wipe off remaining sunscreen on his face.
"Hey," Tadashi said between laughter. "At least you don't have to worry about putting on extra sunscreen."
"Ha ha, hilarious." Hiro said in a bored tone.
"Yoo-hoo! I brought y'all ice-cream!" Aunt Cass screeched out when she spotted you. "Oh, (Y/n)! You're here!"
She squeezed you a little tighter than Tadashi squeezing his bottle. After she released you, you checked your ribs to see if they were intact.
Thankfully, they were.
"Heh, hey Aunt Cass," you greeted a little wearily.
"You're late!" she exclaimed with a small gasp and tsked teasingly at you. "You're never late, my dear."
You laughed while recounting your crazy tale of your roommate going into labor and insisting on a home birth. Aunt Cass laughed during the story and said she had gone through something simliar when Hiro had been born.
"Hey, you guys swimming or what?" Hiro called out to you. He was already far out with Tadashi, who had brought his surfboard along.
Aunt Cass waved at him dismissively. "No, no, you boys go with (Y/n). I can't be in the sun for too long. And I gotta watch after your uneaten ice-cream, you knuckleheads!"
Hiro shrugged and signaled you to hurry up. You grabbed the ends of you T-shirt and lifted the fabric up and over your head. Little did you know, both boys were watching you silently, pretending to be waiting patiently for you.
You discarded your shorts as well and folded them quickly on the tanning chair. You were wearing a black one-piece with two thin straps connecting at your nape.
'Wow', both boys thought simultaneously. Having already put on sunscreen beforehand, you grabbed your flipfliops and skipped over to the brothers.
"Nice suit," Hiro commented.
"Thanks, Mr. Grey." You made a slight reference to Fifty Shades of Grey, but Tadashi noticed and smirked as you walked along.
"I saw what you did there," He whispered in your ear while looking ahead.
Your eyes widened. "What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean, young lady."
"What?" Hiro piped up. "What? What did she mean?"
"Eh, shut up."
You chuckled graciously. You nudged Tadashi after Hiro bounded ahead, getting tired of your guys' slow walk, and pulled him down to whisper, "You and me, Lulu Lemon Cafe, at six. Be there."
With that, you ran after Hiro, your soft hair racing after you in the wind, your laughter echoing through the area.
Tadashi blinked, then smiled mischievously. He shook his head as he gripped the hilt of his intricate surfboard tightly and jogged after you, anxiously waiting for the next hours for your date with the Hamada genius.
