Evelyn's P.O.V.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I groaned as the alarm on my phone went off. Five thirty in the morning it's time to get ready for my training. Alpha Roger wants me to go through training to improve my fighting technique. He told me after dinner and the announcement of me joining the pack. I'm not going to lie my fight skilles aren't all that how I killed those other rogues during my four years as one is completely a mystery to me. I pretty much summed it up to God having my back. I dragged my tired body toward my dresser and pulled out my black sweat pants, black tank top and my under clothing. I didn't feel the need to wear any thing colorful, I figured I would probably be getting dirty during my training. I was walked into my bathroom and quickly taken a shower. As soon as I was dressed I headed down to the kitchen to grab something to eat. I wanted to be well energized I'm pretty sure training on a empty stomach wouldn't a great idea especially if it's anything like I'm anticipating. I grabbed a few bananas, strawberries and a bag of spinach leaves to make a salad with. I also grabbed the peanut butter and bread. As I sat at the island in the kitchen I replayed all the events that had taken place yesterday day one in particular.... my mate rejecting me. I was so hurt, the one person who is suppose to love me and protect me rejected me. One thing is for he will never see me weak or make me cry ever again. Not only him but everyone else too I'm not as weak as everyone thinks I am. "You must be Evelyn?" I turned around to see a handsome man who looked like he was in his mid twenties smiling. "Yes I am." I replied while returning the smile. "Hi Evelyn I'm your trainer Jason." "Hi Jason it's nice to meet you." I say while extending my hand. He shook my hand as he spoke. "Welcome to the pack. You should finish eating so we can start your training, you have a long day of training and you're going to need your energy." he smirked. I huffed. " I don't think I like that smirk, it's almost as if you're saying I'm going kick your ass and there's nothing you can do about it." I said before taking a bite of my sandwich. "You have no idea, now less talking and more eating." "Sir yes sir!" I said standing to salute him. "You remind me of my sister." he chuckled. "Really?!" "Yea we used to hang out all the time until she met her mate and became Luna of the Stone Mountain pack." I could tell that he missed her but was extremely proud of her. "Well if she's anything like me then she's awesome." I say putting my hand over my heart. "Yea yea short stuff let's get going we both know you need training." he said playful but serious at the same time. "Hey! I'm not short I'm just not taller than most people." I say trying to defend my shortness. "What ever helps you sleep at night Lyn." he said patting my shoulder. "Lyn?" "Yea I just took the last part of your name for your nickname so for now on I'm calling you Lyn unless you don't want me to." he said sounded unsure. I chuckled and answered him. "No it's fine you can call me lyn. Can I call you Jay?" "Sure!" we both laughed at how excited he sound. "I was not intending on it coming out like that." he said as we finally made it to the packs field.

"Lyn you're over thinking it. Stop second guessing yourself and let your instinct kick it!" he yelled while throwing a punch at me that made me fly ten feet across the field. I landed with a thud. "How the hell do I do that?!" I yelled as I was getting up. "Pay attention to your your enemy's every move don't think just react." I started paying more attention and I noticed it looked like he was going to kick me. As soon as he was about to kick me I kicked him in his stomach and sent him flying a few feet. I was shocked at my own reaction I hadn't expected my kick to do that. "Oh my goodness are you ok Jay." I said helping him up. "Yes I'm good but word of advice never help your enemy." As he said that I felt him grab my arm and flip me. "Touché." I mumbled from the breathe being knocked out of me from me hitting the ground. Jason put his hand out for me to grab. "What time is it?" I asked. He looked at his watch, "It's ten fifteen." "Really?! We have been out her for four hours?!" I asked not believing he spent four hours training me. "Yep." he said popping the "p". "Damn time surely does fly by when you're having fun." "You had fun?" he asked sounding shocked. "Yes I did. Why?" I said tilting my head to the right. "Most she- wolves don't. They don't like getting dirty or dirt under their nails." I rolled my eyes. "Well apparently I'm not the average she- wolf or wolf in general." "That's for sure you're so much easier to talk to. You're not like some of the self centered girls in the pack." I laughed. "I bet mostly everyone in this pack expects me to be dumb and socially disturbed." Even though I didn't have my parents and people from my pack I still went to school. The school my parents enrolled me in when I was five was a human school. When my parents got killed I still went to school. When to school the day after I told my teachers that my clothes and every thing I owned got burned in a fire. I also told them my parents died in the fired and that I was staying with my parents friends and they were having a tough time getting me clothes and every thing I needed. So my teachers all pitched in a bought me every thing I need. When school was over I slept in the girl's bathroom until the next day. On the weekend I left the girl's bathroom window so I can get back into the school. I continued this until I got to high school, I tried to sneak back into the girls bathroom but the alarms went off so from that moment forward I lived in the woods behind the school. I had found a abandoned cabin and stayed there until a few bullies from school found out and burn it down, luckily I had hid a few clothes in the woods so that I had something to change into when I shifted. I sighed mentally knowing all this happened two weeks ago at least I have just this year of high school left. I wondered on Monroe High School is going to be. "What are you doing this afternoon?" Jason asked breaking me from my thoughts. "Um, nothing that I know of. Why? What's up?" "Nothing just wanted to see if you wanted to hang with me and a couple of guys from the pack." he said as we entered the pack house and headed towards the kitchen. "You know I'm there it's about time I had fun." "Cool we're leaving around four." "Where are we going?" I asked washing my hands then grabbing two bottles of water out the refrigerator. "We're all going to go paintballing?" "Seriously?! I've always wanted to go!" I was a little too excited almost like a kid in a candy store. Jason chuckled. "We'll that's a first." "What's a first?" "A girl wanting to get hit with a paintball." I rolled my eyes. "We've been over this already I'm not like most of these snobs. For one I'm more mature, for two I don't mind getting my hands dirty." I said throwing the label from my bottle of water at him. "Yea throwing water bottle labels is what mature people do." he said in a sarcastic tone. "How are you Lyn?" "Eighteen. Why?" "Just wanted to know. So you were a rogue for four years?" "What happened that made you turn rogue?" Jason asked as he threw his water bottle in the recycling can. "Alpha Roger didn't tell you?" "No he just told us that you were a rogue for four years." I told Jason what happened before and after I went rogue. "Wow Evelyn I'm sorry that happened." he said as he hugged me. I hugged him back. "No need to be sorry it wasn't your fault and besides you can't changed the past."
